    Develop and FAF Beta have been updated with the following changes for testing, and we have also provided some questions to guide your thoughts in gameplay: Please provide replays with your feedback if possible. Czar Buff Cost slightly reduced and AA missile firing angle limits removed. Does its cost better match its anti-ground performance without being overwhelming in air-to-air utility/performance? GC Claw Nerf DPS and range heavily reduced but units can now be shot while they are in the claws. Is GC still too powerful against T3 units by itself? Is it too powerful accompanied by DPS from the surrounding army? Do shots targeted at units in the claws miss too often when the GC is moving? Beetle rebalance Cloaking removed and speed reduced in exchange for HP and regen. Can both sides interact with the beetle in a fair and enjoyable way, especially in T2 stage? Is it too weak, too powerful, or too difficult to use? How powerful is it when dropped? Sniper rebalance Range significantly reduced (below T2 PD range) in exchange for movement speed and a large cost reduction. Ability to prioritize ACUs is removed. Seraphim snipe mode speed increased and damage model adjusted for shorter reload alongside the main changes above. Can non-sniper armies interact with snipers in a fair and enjoyable way? Are the lower cost cost snipers counterable if they are rushed? Do the snipers provide their user a fair reward for their resource and APM cost? Are mixed armies more viable than pure sniper balls? Are Percy/Brick counters for Sera/Aeon more accessible to lower rated players? SACU Rebalance Quantum gateway cost, buildtime, and adjacency buffed. Base SACU cost reduced. Energy and buildtime costs significatly reduced for most presets. Costs further reduced for the engineer presets. Energy upkeeps reduced. SACU RAS upgrade increases death nuke damage. UEF Bubble shield prerequisite of the personal shield is removed, and the shield is rebalanced with mobile shields in mind. Added RAS for Seraphim SACU and removed increased base production + cost. Overcharge upgrade cost massively reduced. Shield moved to tele/OC arm (tele nerf and Rambo preset rework). Rambo preset changed to Nano + Shield + Sensors/Gun Range (non-energy-based lategame single-target damage rambo). Do SACUs come out and counter T3 or ACUs too early? Is UEF bubble shield viable with its new stats considering the utility of the SACU underneath? Is overcharge cost too low, especially after the first SACU dies and you can reuse the energy infrastructure? Are any SACU presets snowballing too strongly into the lategame, overpowering even their T4 counter? Are UEF Rambos a viable high-cost direct-fire option for UEF, who have no direct-fire T4? Is the buildpower of combat SACU too high? Are there any overwhelming/unreasonable faction differences with SACU gameplay? Do engineer presets find use cases as a dense buildpower option?     @Dorset The trainer's don't bite, mostly. In all seriousness, it can be done entirely over text if you wanted it to, we can work around most comforts and such if the motivation from the trainee is there!

    It was only reduced from 10000 to 8000 compared to the Steam version. On top of that, shields can reduce crash damage by 20% of their own max HP (basically this means Czars/Ahwassas crashes can only kill 3600 HP SMD through shields). @Kilatamoro is correct in that it's like a normal AoE that gets absorbed by shields. I did write some code where crash splash damage ignores shields, since it is reduced by shield max HP already, but the issue is that if the unit crashes right outside a shield it deals 8000 damage straight through the shield, which isn't fixable.

    Understandable, I should've just pinged you. Honestly I'm really surprised a major forum software is lacking a default dark mode toggle. I will look more into getting it added upstream. But IIRC from what I read when I originally looked into it others have already tried.

    Hi Rick-, as explained on the website: For reports filed through the FAF client, the reporting player may check the status of their ticket through the ‘Moderation Reports’ menu. This menu may be opened by clicking your username at the top right of the FAF launcher, which will show a drop-down menu containing the option ‘Moderation Reports’. All reports are confidential and will be treated as such with regards to your and the reported player’s privacy. We do not comment on moderation decisions in public, except in some exceptional circumstances. We similarly do not generally share the exact penalty applied to a reported player. This includes sharing such information with the reporting player.

    You can read everything you want to know about the report system, including an explanation of how to report someone, on the FAF website under community > moderation. (Or click that link). To quote the summary from that page: You can report players who breach FAF rules in-game by finding the game in recent replays, right clicking on their name, and using the report player option. Alternatively, you can use the Moderation reports menu (click on your username in the top-right of the client to find this menu). For more details on the reporting and appeals system see below. And in detail: When filing a report for an action that happened during a game, it is critical that all fields of the report form are filled in. Without a valid replayID, a clear description, and an accurate timestamp your report cannot be processed. Such reports will be dismissed with a message asking you to resubmit your report. Reports for offenses that happen in the FAF IRC channels naturally do not come with a replayID, in which case you may leave this field empty.

    If you are new to mods, then you are in for a treat. They are not just for replays but can help you in-game too, as they give you additional information and hotkeys etc. Focus on "UI-mods", they can be used in rated games and only effects your own UI. "Sim-mods" changes the game itself, are unranked and must be downloaded by all players.
