Sorry still don't understand what this does. Needs a before and after image to make it clear.
Recently I lost a lot of sounds after a Windows update (in particular mantis firing). This has happened previously for me. In the past I found that disconnecting and reconnecting my headphones resolved the issue, but not in this case. I had to totally reinstall motherboard manufacturer recommended audio drivers (from ASUS). Unfortunately they come bundled with Sonic Studio and Sound Radar which even when all audio enhancements are turned off and sound is set to stereo still results in crashes with XACT sound errors in the log. I resolved this by completely uninstalling Sonic Studio and sound radar crap. Thought I'd post in case anyone else has similar issues.
I think that if you did this you'd still want Aeon T3 arty to be in some way better as you would be indirectly nerfing them in relation to the other factions who don't presently have this ability.
Also is any one making T1 spam to confuse targeting of snipers on any of the replays?
You shouldn't install as an admin. Can you check permissions on the FAForever folder in ProgramData (hidden folder NOT Program Files) or delete that folder before you reinstall?
You can remove the us keyboard from windows. May install it again next update mind you. I have had issues with changing keyboards midgame (for reasons as stated by Uveso) and this was the only fix
I just think you can afford to take a risk with 1 random map for a month and see how it goes
@FtX what's wrong with having 1 map in the pool to be randomly generated at time of play? Don't follow your objections. Certainly worth a try for a month I would think. Correct me if I've misinterpreted your comments.
Some motherboard manufacturers may also have audio chipset control software that enables advanced chipset features even with sound set to stereo in windows. If you have anything like that installed you need to check it's settings or uninstall it.
Theres XACT errors in your game log. That means you probably have audio set to surround sound. You need to set it to stereo, have spatial sound off. Mine is set at 24 bit 48K Hz. Most common problem with SupCom
I think they come with age and the inability to see tiny monochromatic icons without developing eye strain
Does the rating system take account of how often you are playing when determining variation (sigma) I. E looking at frequency of games rather than just total? I would expect greater variation if you play irregularly (as you derust).
It's not FAF. You need to reinstall audio drivers
