I don't think this would be a good thing. I have an extremely powerful computer but recently (over the last few months) noticed I was getting in-game crashes after going years with none. The crashes would occur anytime I was zooming in or out really quickly. The game would just freeze and after some messing around turning anti aliasing off is what worked and I haven't had crashes for a few days now.

I know it maybe seems like it's not related to this thread but it feels like it is because I sthnk the overload of rendering when zooming so quick is what was causing the system crashes. Strange that it would all the sudden start happening but nonetheless it proves the point that draw distances are important.

I'd love to be able to see reclaim and such as I'm zoomed out more but with this game it just seems like you got to take what you get.

Pathing stuff like this is really tied into the engine so there's not much we can do. I think you can't even make ACUs path over units because it would automatically apply that 1x1 footprint to all 1x1 units (all t1-t3). So a lot of it is wishful thinking unless you dive deep into reverse engineering.

I think this would be a good thing as I dont believe players consider the known poor pathing in this game to be a positive aspect.

The bad pathing has cemented itself in the game's balance and micro so for some it is a positive aspect just to diversify supcom from other games, even though it has its frustrating moments.

The second image is not about LOD of a unit. It is problem with how engine optimizes map terrain mesh.

This idea worked out better than I thought it would.

I wanted to create a unit that filled the function of a direct fire exp for the uef as the fatty is less than useful in this role.

So I came up with this.

The UEF ACU is a highly detailed unit and looks great at a larger scale and reminds me of gypsy danger from pacific rim.

The unit has 45k health with 40k shield twin blasters that shoot larger percy projectiles, its also armed with a sub nuke that launches from its backpack.

It costs the same as a GC and has very similar dps but overall loses in a 1v1 with a GC as it has a recharging shield and can launch nukes.

seems like a lot of steps for a few lines that may be on screen for ten seconds, I play in windowed mode so I could just copy, minimize, paste in a second, and enjoy the salt in all languages, I have tried the phone thing but like phong says its not the easiest toption.

That is absolutely the case of skill issue despite rating.

This is exactly what FAF is doing. Your local replay stream is saved locally, and the "consensus" replay is saved on the FAF server. "Consensus" means that this is the replay that matches the majority of the players still connected.

TML com is not rare, it is however quite expensive and requires alot of power. TML launcher is alot cheaper

Back when I used to play gap games and someone's com was out front too long I would just start moving engies to their base, get out ahead of it.

Well done! Changes sound sensible, I highly approve of you trying to increase faction diversity, and carefully agree with your stance on the balance team consisting of mostly 2k's. We'll have to see if these changes play well.

And ye, since the Aeon Gunships are so brutally strong, the mercy just feels weak in comparison so I'd say that's a main reason for it. Remove / Nerf the Gunship and the mercy suddenly becomes more viable.

Not a little change, but I really appreciate the PBR textures. The units just look so good now with proper map lighting.

Instead of inventing a new mechanic you can just make planes deal a high damage, but long duration, damage over time. Then a smaller number of planes can still land lethal shots on a large number of planes before dying, and the larger the number of planes the more shots will be wasted overkill damage. It should make micro more forgiving across the board as well. Only downside is that there's probably some performance cost to DoT.

Looks like something in the map got broken somehow. Custom games on the map gives the same faulty results. I took the map out for now. Thanks for reporting this Caliber.

I'm a programmer. People are welcome to contribute by trying to make more readable patch notes or by experimenting with alternative media. But I'm not going to spent more time on it then I already do; a dozen or so of hours just to make something representative for the Github release pages is what my primary aim is at the moment.

It would appear that those suggested changes have been made, thankyou to whomever made those changes i am forever gratefull that i can now micro bombers/ahwassa and inties/asf seperatly 🙂
