i see no problems here 😒

Obviously the front turrets should be low arc, the back turrets should be high arc. NO CLIPPING PROBLEM THEN

Allowing the arc to be adjusted with a toggle would allow t2 arty behind hills to shoot at ships while being protected from them.

@jip said in Ideas for Disconnect Mitigation:

I've also thought of introducing the ability to (almost) immediately vote-kick observers or dead players as they time out. To reduce the waiting time when it doesn't impact the game itself

My concern with this is that people in team games often rely on a dead player's help

      I would suggest:

members of the dead player's TEAM can kick their own dead teammate after just a brief delay, like 10 seconds of non-connection

players that are not on the dead player's team need to wait longer, unless at least 1 other player has already voted to kick

Here is what I've got so far all the information that was in the pins has been migrated over into its own Post. Were only have to have 1 Pined post in a Forum so the top pin post is where were able to list links to all the most common issues that happen and the link their will take you to the corresponding Forum post. All these channels are read only.

If you have any suggestions for any other common issues please let me know here and we can add them.

Would seem like the discussion channel would be best used to discuss ideas posted in suggestions channel but people will write in which ever they happen to be in with no regard for protocol. So it could be difficult to extract the good ideas among all the discussion and miss some of them.

@deribus seraphim leverage has it as a mode, its actually not bad. only time it sucks is maps that have water but no means to have navy. basically 5 sniper bots under a t3 shield with a flack are comparable to a destroyer or 2

Loyalist: Good for raiding as long as the air isn't thick with bombers, fair damage and they can actually retreat. Still feel kinda weak for some reason, and they have a skill that I've never found out how to use correctly. The EMP blast on death is neat, was never a game changer for me though.

Titan: My favorite fast attacker, they're great at punching down on T2/T1 units, they're fast, good defense, the thin shield keeps them useful even if their HP is low. Microing them to run in circles to dodge fire is pretty great too.

Othuum: I've had limited but great success with these. They've always fallen short on a land assault, somewhat better with an amphibious assault because of the surprise factor. Paired with snipers/arty and shields, they make great defense units, good against T1 spam too. More like a Tank for Siege Defense, not a Siege(ing) Tank.

Harbinger: Okay for the cost, the shield is nice even though it's a "bubble" but not a bubble. Being able to destroy a base and devour everything in the area is cool, having them help build is alright too but not particularly useful by the time they roll out on the field.

When I play Aeon and I'm Navy, I always go T2 Land as well. An Asylum wall and destroyers are hard to go against, though it's micro heavy.
Hoplites are a hilarious little shotgun, paired well with radar stealth, mobile or otherwise.
Mongoose is also pretty cool, but more like a mobile point defense than anything, paired well with Parashields.
      Seraphim sure are a thing.

Now that I think about it, Cybran and UEF are the only factions with a T2 land that has "Medium range"

EDIT: The only time I've used Fire Beetles is around a fire base, under a stealth field generator of some kind. I've used them kind of like land mines, but not particularly effective.

Sparkies are neat, I've blended them in with an army and if the push is successful, they're great at making a firebase to keep that territory.

I guess they are like subs. Can get decent value in very specific scenarios but probably don't overbuild them

For 40 more mass you an build a Blaze and an Asylum instead of an Obsidian. You can build 2 Blazes for the cost of 1 Obsidian. If you're worried about overkill, you can build Blazes and Asylums, Blazes also have good range. Aeon has the answers, but your question must be specific.

Most units get T2 or T3 variants including radar and air scouts, but there's no land based upgrade to the T1 land scout

They are nice for sniping clumped t2 power under a shield though. But you need t2, so no real option for a cheaper t1 drop to do real damage.

I like the idea of adding either utility or defensiveness to the hydro. I think it's a mistake to add additional throughput, because it reduces the choices made by the player - from "do I need defense, utility, or neither" to "do I have enough to upgrade this right now because I gotta do it eventually" and to me that seems like a false choice.
