The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

Victory condition is set to annihilation, best to set it to at least supremacy if you want a game that finishes reasonably
I see no reason for a crash. Try a normal map, without any mods. If it still crashes, do the usual "reinstall-everything" approach.
Also, can you post the Windows error log about the crash.
Veterancy also fails on the HARMS. Even with 5 stars it still shows only 11000 + 0/s

Yes, if you give something attack order it will stay even if unit is not in vision range/became cloaked. It is used frequently to target lock transport in 1v1 for example, or you can give assist order to early bomber with your scout and it will follow it though fog of war.
Its not bug, just game engine thing that is just there and you have to live with it.

In this particular issue it is correct, where the unit doesn't actually pause because the script crashes.
not sure what was the problem, , i reformatted my computer again, no updates this time, only windows and java, runs fine
so, solved i guess, lost everything again but at least i can play now
Same thing happens with the Sunken Colony in Starcraft: Wait for it to initiate an attack, suddenly change target, and it can attack a target out of its range.

Clicking campaign through the faf exe doesn't work (its not set up and the objectives don't exist)

Sorry i didnt respond sooner, this was actually because I chose the 'rehost' option instead of exiting to windows. once I closed everything down I was then able to rejoin games.
