    What about allowing the ACU to "walk over" T1 units like EXP's? That way the effect is symmetric (i.e. easier to understand for newer players) and with clever micro, you can still obstruct a retreating ACU with early T2 units.

    I think it's a pretty creative map. Boring is subjective and I don't get what you mean with "poorly designed". Its visuals are simple but not ugly
    Playing versus aeon on it definitely sets you back though because of the early aurora in mid but there are ways to go around it. Think ghetto gunship, jester, rushing a naval fac, walking acu over to reclaim enemy naval fac, or playing very aggressively on land while your opponent spent time controlling the middle and building pgens trying to accommodate all that mass. There's plenty reclaim on land to fuel these strategies early on

    It's not easy but there are things you can try doing to win over your aeon opponent. Things other than simple t1 spam that most other maps encourage

    I think Challenge accounts are beneficial to FAF IF they are moderated heavily, as they can almost relieve the stress of alt accounts if done properly. I know the Trainer Team can utilize this concept very well and create a lot of long lasting training material. I would also happily take full responsibility for the trainer team's use of challenge accounts.

    Also, Challenge accounts don't have to be given out willy nilly, they can have a vetting process done by either mods or a chosen committee, which may help with keeping track of them.

    Overall, it's a good concept, and the fact we have such a diverse group of opinions shows me that if done right, it can be very good for FAF.

    @Kilatamoro Sometimes people have unforeseen issues pop up or just lose interest in the game unfortunately, he does still post on patreon (relatively) frequently however.

    It was only reduced from 10000 to 8000 compared to the Steam version. On top of that, shields can reduce crash damage by 20% of their own max HP (basically this means Czars/Ahwassas crashes can only kill 3600 HP SMD through shields).
    @Kilatamoro is correct in that it's like a normal AoE that gets absorbed by shields. I did write some code where crash splash damage ignores shields, since it is reduced by shield max HP already, but the issue is that if the unit crashes right outside a shield it deals 8000 damage straight through the shield, which isn't fixable.

    This game is not made for 11 AIs of any kind. The Lua thread that AIs run on is single threaded. No matter how good your CPU is, you'll never be able to run 11 AIs.

    My reference was to typical pvp games, campaign maps and/or games with 1 - 3 AIs.

    Honestly I'm really surprised a major forum software is lacking a default dark mode toggle. I will look more into getting it added upstream. But IIRC from what I read when I originally looked into it others have already tried.

    Hi Rick-, as explained on the website:

    For reports filed through the FAF client, the reporting player may check the status of their ticket through the ‘Moderation Reports’ menu. This menu may be opened by clicking your username at the top right of the FAF launcher, which will show a drop-down menu containing the option ‘Moderation Reports’.

    All reports are confidential and will be treated as such with regards to your and the reported player’s privacy. We do not comment on moderation decisions in public, except in some exceptional circumstances. We similarly do not generally share the exact penalty applied to a reported player. This includes sharing such information with the reporting player.

    You can read everything you want to know about the report system, including an explanation of how to report someone, on the FAF website under community > moderation. (Or click that link).

    To quote the summary from that page:

    You can report players who breach FAF rules in-game by finding the game in recent replays, right clicking on their name, and using the report player option. Alternatively, you can use the Moderation reports menu (click on your username in the top-right of the client to find this menu). For more details on the reporting and appeals system see below.

    And in detail:

    When filing a report for an action that happened during a game, it is critical that all fields of the report form are filled in. Without a valid replayID, a clear description, and an accurate timestamp your report cannot be processed. Such reports will be dismissed with a message asking you to resubmit your report. Reports for offenses that happen in the FAF IRC channels naturally do not come with a replayID, in which case you may leave this field empty.
