    The LOG got over-written. I did try to recreate the crash but it ran without incident today. The system updated and shutdown after Windows Update last night, so this is a fresh restart and may have been a problem caused by Windows. To confirm, crashes did not happen on other replays, and not even all doobro's replays. These weird crashes only occurred on some of doobro's replays, even though he uses the same mod list in all his games. Restarting my computer wouldn't clear up the issue. I did have a Windows Update that stalled a few weeks back, and the issue appeared to show up after that update. I had Windows 11 run a verification, and it found and replaced some corrupted files. I am guessing the verification didn't fix everything, and the Windows Update last night may have corrected whatever was causing the unexplained crashes. At this point, i believe the crashes were caused by Windows.

    Hi, I'd suggest trying different maps, AI, and/or AiX cheat modifiers. You could also try fighting multiple AI at once (e.g. a 1v2 or 1v3 game), or playing at a higher game-speed (e.g. the AI will be much harder at +4 speed since its apm is unaffected). You mention you're turtling - M28 and M27 try not to attack a turtle directly unless confident of winning (since suiciding units into a turtler is usually a bad move), but some AI will be more aggressive. DilliDalli is one such AI, but I'm not sure if it's still working following a patch some time ago. You could also try RNGAI (it's not suicidal in the way DilliDalli is, but my impression is it's generally more aggressive than M27/M28 when it comes to turtlers). Some maps like astro craters will naturally incentivise turtling play, but if you play on large open maps then if you turtle you'll be left with such little map control that you'll be crushed.

    I uninstalled FAF using Windows>Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features I manually deleted folder C:/Program Files/FAF Client I re-installed FAF from faf_windows-x64_2023_12_1.exe FAF then worked fine. Thank you for your help.

    So I have finally found the issue and would like to share the cause: I use a KVM switch for my 2 displays. Now I have bypassed my main display (have it directly connected) and the crashes are gone. Sometimes my KVM switch would drop the displayport connection and I have to switch it back and forth. It seems that this dp drop caused the crashes

    It doesn't need to disappear. Having non stereo configuration, any enhancements or too high a bit rate can crash the game.

    I have merged your threads, because numerous threads titled “crash logs” are cluttering and meaningless. Please attach a complete log, not wall spamming bits, then we can get down to the root issue. I have removed the walls, because that is not the complete info, and it is tedious that everyone has to scroll through it. Can you reproduce the crash all the time? If so, what are the steps? Does the crash get fixed by not using any mods?

    I am pretty sure it's some corrupt mods. There a few out there that don't like me for some reason. Recently my game is crashing a lot and connection is basically fucked. High pings for literally no reason. In 10 years of playing the game on and off and i've never experienced this.

I'm on windows 10, have gone into virus and threat protection settings, and added the following folders to the exclusions: Supreme commander game (steam apps, common, supreme commander) FAF client (program files, FAF Client) and even my local save files (user, app data, local, gas powered games, scfa) I have also gone into firewall and network protection settings and allowed FAF through on both private and public settings.
