hi guys, this alpha4 client is much better than alpha2 and 2021.10.0, i have had no problems at all, no crashes, disconnects or any other naughty behaviour, nice one!

go into freeview, then ctrl-v again with no spacebar, this will give freeview but with mexes and healthbars and you can adjust height, 0 and . (ins and del) on the number pad will rotate the view and there is no height restriction. if you hit space it will exit from this view.
Awesome, thank you very much Sheikah
the single threaded benchmark is the most relevant for faf https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html
the live replay tab no longer retains its filter settings when you switch from that tab and then back.
while on the subject of filter settings, would it be possible for the live replay tab to retain its settings from session to session, like the custom game lobby does?
except faf is not a single threaded software
pause a game and have a look in the task manager
you will see up to about 22 threads spread on up to 3 cores
the sim thread runs by itself on 1 core, usually maxed to 100%, this thread/core is the limiting factor
the other main threads such as rendering, networking and audio run on other cores
i heard there are ppl here 60+

could be network (use ethernet not wifi)
could be internet (is CGNAT turned off at isp? it should be)
could be slow cpu
most likely one of those, maybe some other unusual thing
if you are good at a game that means you probably understand it
lower rated dudes should ask for advice
nice one blackheart, the only sensible post in this whole thread. the area reclaim idea has been played with at least once in the dim past already and rejected
hi man, faf game state refreshes every 500ms, so as long as ping is 499 or below there will be no discernible difference to a ping of 1, if packets are lost (wifi or netwok problems of some kind) then there will be lag. (i am assuming there is no cpu lag here as well)
i would troubleshoot by making sure any av software is definitely allowing faf, (or not use real-time protection), temporarily disable windows update, get the phones off you network, make sure no other programs are using your connection, all other possibilities must be eliminated.
there is a box to tick in settings if you want to be notified of pre-releases

feeling much better now with v2024.1.0-alpha-1, thank you very much Sheikah45
despite using 15% of my cpu and 1gb of ram this version is not working well, it becomes unresponsive after 1 or 2 mins, the chat list is still broken in 2 (a-z and then a-z again) and the live replay filters are still not keeping their settings.
it's making me sad
all the v12 alphas have this problem
