i don't think that small gains from veteranicy is the main problem with fatboy
if it feels to weak then would be nice to just buff it
maybe add more shield HP
i mean... i just like the idea that you can go under shield to damage fatboy
or use shield to protect other things
or kill power to stop shield from working
or use shield disruptor
or use TML cause hitting the shield is easier
i like that it kinda makes it weaker vs t2 arty cause it is easier to hit shield
i'd like to keep all those things but if unit is to weak cause of them then can just buff it

Every navy obliterates hover unless the map is to tiny for t2 or t3 navy. Also aeon navy is by far the most powerful in the game because of tempest and omens.Also a crusher has a huge radar bubble and a frigate also has decent radar and omni exists and it is very good.

Maybe the issue is related to the ICE-Adapter high CPU usage bug. In case you or other readers are not following the Discord thread, I will quote the following:

Also yesterday I had 2 consecutive client updates, and I'm now using the 2024.5.1 - alpha - 2 version of the client. I will see if I notice any improvements to my situation.

Probably so, but the high CPU load is coming from the FAF client, cause usually I don't have anything else open during game. I also check if my pc is updating or anything like that and it's never the case.

It would seem they were related to old mods I had been using, i've since disabled them and all seems to be well this far. Thanks for the help

Host a game and on the left hand side you select the FAFDevelop game type rather than just the faf game type

Well, it's not like there is a company that guarantees to solve our connection issues for 10.000$. If there were, we would take such an offer for sure. But that's like hiring an engineer for 10-15 days. Barely enough time to understand the existing code and finding the root cause, far away from fixing it.

It was mainly implemented to try and be helpful to the moderators so they could message people who were not currently online. And it was all set up as a bit of an experiment to see if it would work with the number of players that we have.

As explained in discord, your question is none of my concern. Accusing others of exploiting bugs on the forums is not allowed. A moderation report will suffice.

I am pretty sure it's some corrupt mods. There a few out there that don't like me for some reason. Recently my game is crashing a lot and connection is basically fucked. High pings for literally no reason. In 10 years of playing the game on and off and i've never experienced this.

Its probably in the small window when a unit gets sucked into the transport but isnt clamped in yet so it doesnt count as being loaded in the transport

Seems to be working for me now on the same alpha client

T2 arty is in general not a great counter to T2 arty so I'm not sure this really matters much. It is cool seeing the game's physics at work as that has always been a selling point of the game, but it is a bit annoying/confusing in the moment since this limitation isn't presented in the game in any way and you just see arty mysteriously not firing. Same with other situations where weapons cannot fire due to physics. Unfortunately there's probably nothing to be done unless we want to increase the muzzle velocity of arty, which I really don't think we do. In an alternate universe where we could make engine changes, it'd be really cool if the range ring took into account terrain and elevation and range actually varied by height changes in ways other than just "lol muzzle velocity too low/gravity too high"
