    Thanks for the suggestion, I think the qualifier today won't be that interesting and there won't be many participants. But if some of the English streamers can cast the tournament on 17-18 May that would be cool! Hopefully we will have a lot of exciting games to watch!

    Version 2.0.3 of the Commander Survival Kit will be released soon on Moddb.
    It includes several Fixes related to Air Strikes, which have a few Issues in Version 2.0.2 and are probably broken.

    The Fixes are already included in the Development Version on Github for this Mod.
    So I recommend to download the Mod from Github until Version 2.0.3 is released:

    v228 Update aka the 'Vindex beat 1.5 M28 AIx update'
    17 changes, 15 of which were based on a replay where Vindex beat 1.5 AIx on the Ditch, including:

    8 improvements and bugfixes to M28's 'telesnipe defence' logic, including making it no longer think the laser can be dodged as though it was a t1 arti; the ACU should no longer stop running after a short while of being chased by a tele-laser com; it should recognise the enemy has a laser ACU sooner (if it has visual of it); PD should be built preemptively to defend (instead of waiting for the teleport to start); and other changes Fixed an issue where M28 would try and drop plateaus but choose a tiny land zone to drop, causing it to drop early (not on the plateau) Reduced the core base T2 builder so it no longer send all engineers to build T2 PD in response to a single heavily outnumbered enemy tank Air facs should be more likely to be built on larger maps once M28 has 4 land facs in its main base (unrelated change to the replay) T1-T2 skirmishers shouldn't be built if the enemy has T3 land.

    @FtXCommando As I said, I understand some are attached to the more interesting dynamics this flaw of the UI created but it also created some shitty dynamics as well. Gameplay depth should rely on players' choices, and the game should properly convey all the information needed to inform those choices.

    Gameplay depth should not rely on noticing damage values or 3d model variations. It's a RTS not a "spot the difference" game.

    If the original devs had included units that don't have associated icons, I'd have to concede that this was an intended mechanic, but they never did. Instead they went with stealth, cloak or jamming when they wanted gameplay elements revolving around intel gathering. That's because hiding icons (and thus information down into the detailed 3d level) runs counter to the goal and usefulness of the continuous zoom feature which defines this game to a much greater extent than the stuff you mentioned in your post. And when those aforementioned abilities trip you up, it doesn't feel like it's the game screwing you instead of your opponent.

    Hello Kilatamoro, the Aeon 1v1 Guide is in the training archive section due to it being outdated, and we're unsure if Faction based 1v1 guides are entirely the best way to teach the game mode. But who knows what the future holds for the wiki 😉

    Land is like 75%+ of the units made in the game, no faction can “excel at land” without being meta defining. Likewise your analysis of one faction being good at air, one good at navy, and one good at land, even if we were to assume your takes are right, would make this game completely boring. It would be defined by the faction and map you rolled at 0:00 and at that point you might as well as quit the game. Also, what the hell does that make Seraphim good at? Space?

    Every faction has comparative advantages at different points, UEF has a strong t2 air stage except against Aeon who no faction can compete against assuming equal prioritization on t2 air. So now your gameplay is ‘t focused on leveraging a total air win but rather low cost yet mass efficient engagements that force an overinvestment into air you never intended to fight. Instead you put your win condition elsewhere.

    Here is a screenshot of the new windowed mode. I have reworked the UI logic. the UI prevent all the out of range issues due to resolution change and window resize. All the current features still works as usual.

    100% scaling, 1024x768 minimum native windowed mode :
