What do you find if you navigate to C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\mods? If folders are missing, you should add them

@magge My discord and I have been thinking about off an on and so far we can think of no discerning trigger. However a possibility arose from another game having disconnect issues in that the USA back tier internet may be having some issues. Routing through Chicago and Denver specifically appear to be affected. And as I have no other ISP than mediacom in the midwest, I route through Chicago. I wouldn't say this thread is closed by the crash didn't occur yesterday so I'm starting to lean more towards a one-off. It would still be nice to have more useful logging about when a disconnect occurs though.

@magge thanks for replying but somehow the problem fix itself. idk what's wrong with it yesterday. probably cause of my IP or something blocking the server

@magge Thanks! I thought that was the original problem but i turned the music off anyway.

@magge fastest solution - use my client. At least he would be able to play games or use legacy client, i guess it is still in work

Try a single player game, do you have issues there? If you do, try the vanilla steam version. If you don't have issues, it is most likely network related or some mod that is causing issues.

Which client and version are you using because that error does not sound like it is coming from the most recent version of the client

I've managed to get it working again, but not sure if by coincidence, or if what I did actually fixed the problem. All I did was deselect all preferred coturns for ICE in the list, and deselect force relay connection. You can do this by ctrl-clicking any selected coturns. Alternatively, select all of them with shift-click. I tested that it stopped working with a single prefered coturn, and worked again by doing the above. This seems backwards because these are the initial troubleshooting steps to take when not connecting in the first place, but this is what worked, so there you go. Hopefully it works for you too.

I don't have an antivirus, I turned off the firewall. Does not help. If I enable vpn it works without errors

@askaholic I've had a go but I have 0 python coding experience, and the automated error check highlighted an error so I may have made a stupid mistake (although the error message sounded like the issue is just that the text of the violation warning message is different to what was expected). https://github.com/FAForever/server/pull/922
