@magge I have not tried to play other games but that'd be a good test. I have my games all over the PC and perhaps it's best I move them onto the C drive. Is it worth reinstalling FA and or SupCom while I am at it?

I have not checked the other things yet but afaik FA may have been moved off the C drive and therefore the files aren't there

Not sure if it is related, but during my last games I was notified that my party-mate was "offline", and when game finished (without any in-game problems) we were not in a party anymore. No restart required for us, just invite again.

It now works. I was using microsoft edge and it would not let me use the link, I have switched to chrome and now it works

Oh my, surely I can't be the only one to have gotten this error. Is there at least one technically savvy FAF guru who can assist in resolving this error?

I was able to get FAF working again by just logging back in through the website. Don't know if the error is related to the observer bug.

Just as an update, it was indeed the permissions in my anti virus. Thanks for the help 🙂

You can try a VPN from a different country.

Check your firewall or/and security settings. Try to whitelist anything FAF/Supreme Commander related.

Try to use a VPN to narrow down the issue and to see if it might related to your provider.

I have same issue, Changed in client and still wont swap I've reinstalled game 6 times too. i can get in but maps wont download. when I change location in setttings it just goes back to one drive?

You can tab hovering over anything and it will do something. You can also hit tab when you're in a build preview (like a radar) and it will automagically turn it into a radar + pgens template so that it has adjacency bonus. The same applies to for example an extractor - if you want to build not just a (tech 2) extractor but also surround it with storages then it's a single tab away. You can see the number of options for your current context at the bottom of the screen. The Wikipedia that I linked also does a great job explaining it.

The problem with the 'hover over to get a mass extractor' feature is that it was horribly inefficient from a performance* perspective. On top of that, when I used it myself, it would often trigger when I did not want it to. The context-based templates solution does not only fix those two issues. It also provides much more control and you can even mod it to add your own templates.

In the end it is up to what you prefer. Therefore the UI mod exists.

Apparently, Firefox hates me. I had to switch my defaults over to Brave to get the login window over there and get in. After clearing the cache in Firefox it kept trying to connect to a 'server' on my local machine after the weblogin.

Oh, well. At least I can play again now!

I've created new account and moved my files there. Everything works swell and dandy now, I think. I haven't actually played it yet but I'm able to log in and actually see the launcher.
