The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

FAF's rules are set out on the main FAForever website - by accessing FAF services, you agree to the rules outlined there, which are supplemental to the FAF Terms of Service. For details of how to report rule breaches and/or how the rules are enforced, please refer to the separate page on moderation Separate contribution guidelines exist for those considering contributing to FAF, while there are also official tournament rules that apply to official FAF tournaments.

I have seen this with one other player and they have said it happened due to their isp killing their connection. Can you upload logs using the java client with the debug logging turned on so I can inspect.

Thanks for your replies, I tested Eternal Strategic Icons, in combination with Penguin's Icon Mod and ACU Highlight (those three mods seem to be compatible), and it looks a lot nicer with the size increase of 150%

CPU rating 335. Explosions are lacking. And I can't also see napalm from bombers. It's just damaging my units but it's invisible.

@skyhawk said in does anyone Linux FAF Gamers use this: dgVoodoo ?: Also, I have no idea what that appnee.com link is, it looks like a malware/spam site to me as all it does is beg me to turn off popup blockers and then redirect me around the world. giving a link to this site didn't mean anything wrong. there was a description and links to YouTube with illustrative examples of setup and operation. I have the u block plugin installed in my browser and it probably filtered everything out. your link to the deege website is definitely more useful. I will delete the link in the comment so that no one has any problems.

Hi @Ghosteu There are sound errors in the log: warning: Unknown DirectSound speaker configuration 8. Defaulting to Stereo. warning: SND: XACT3DApply failed. Invalid arg To fix this, please follow this guide: https://forum.faforever.com/topic/4084/solutions-for-snd-error-xact-invalid-arg-xact3dapply-failed If your game don't crash but freeze (sim stops, but UI is still working) Please try a game and don't let the AI play the UEF faction. [Edit] Only if the game freeze, try/test the AI-Uveso mod (there you can also use the UEF faction for AI) https://forum.faforever.com/topic/350/

There is an in game setting called "UI Scale" which will make it easier to see more icons at one time, so that you don't need to scroll across to see every structure. Change the percentage until you can see clearly. [image: yKj8rqN.png]

An idea.. you may now be logged into a different profile on your local computer. By profile, I mean a local account like "mom" or "smoker". You can check this by looking at c:\users to see if there is a different account you are on.
