The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

You can remove the us keyboard from windows. May install it again next update mind you. I have had issues with changing keyboards midgame (for reasons as stated by Uveso) and this was the only fix
Btw we found a new bug now where if you’re playing with someone in your clan, and your clan tag has a non-ascii character in it, then your matches will fail to start.
Luckily this is relatively unlikely to happen.
If you allow for the exe to differ and thus the hash to differ there isnt really a way to guarantee the version which could lead to a lot of desyncs. The only solution would be to get the exe then do the wrapping after the version is guaranteed but this could still lead to issues.

Ah, thank you all for the help, it all appears to be running ok now. I incorrectly assumed that mod was essential and running without it was vanilla FA - I have no idea how it ended up in the mods list.
I will remove the mod so that I do not accidentally run with it!
