Cybran Strats should get slowed while stealthed

I'm sure just about everyone and their mother knows the feeling of dread when your find out the opposite team has T3 air before yours does, because that often means there's an incoming strategic bomber.

If you don't have your own T3 tech you're basically screwed, and this goes doubly so if the strategic bomber is Cybran, because you won't have the necessary omni to nullify stealth.

As such I've written a mod (with help from @Jip and @Balthazar) to slow Cybran T3 strategic bombers by 20% when their stealth is enabled. This brings their top speed from 17 down to 13.6, which gives interceptors (speed 15) a chance to catch up if you manage to target the bomber during a pass.

The bomber on the left is unstealthed and has the same speed as before, leaving the interceptors in the dust. The one on the right is stealthed and has the interceptors slowly creep up on it.

Mod is on the vault under the name "Slowed Stealth Strats"

Strats are easily dealt with regardless of t3 tech.

I think after the veterancy nerf strat rushes are more manageable to deal with, they already got a AOE nerf as well

If you're gonna do strats you should do cybran asfs as well for consistency...

Yeah this could easily be extended to all Cybran T3 ait, but for this mod I've tried to keep it minimal

It's impossible. Players who play a lot in the air are used to turning on stealth on automatic, without even thinking. And then they complain that they have become so slow. It is difficult to wean this behavior.

If only one faction had a speed toggle on their ASF for turn micro... that would not change the balance in the way you think it would

Stealth is powerful because you can send strats very close to enemy base undetected, nerfing speed does nothing about it. People will just disable stealth before the bombing run.

Give Asfs Jammers, actually what I think be cool do a rework of broadswords and restorers to be viabler or something ai dunno

You should make the ceiling of the stealth aircraft lower but have the same speed. Is it a semi realistic approach to it and might be easier to shoot at.

Is a height of a flown aircraft changeable in Supcom?

How much more? I've played 5000+ games, but haven't seen out-of fuel strats in more than 2...

They are usually just a single-use unit anyway.
