And, each one had to be changed exactly every 30 days, requiring 12 unique characters with words not in the dictionary and you can't use the last 10 passwords!! It was a nightmare! I did this one or twice weekly for troubleshooting for 10+ years. Unfortunately, this was and is unavoidable and is the world we live in but still, I haven't given up trying to simplify everything as much as possible which is why I prefer to have just one FAForever account.

Solved. Not a problem anymore. The solution was to re-install the game.

The issue was on our side ( xd ) — we needed to remove the GitHub Copilot entries from the hosts file thank you all! /thread

This error is because of a bad install try deleting the client install and teinstalling

@Nuggets Perhaps adjusting the markers for mass and energy deposits caused the error If I understood correctly, these were improved in one of the latest FAF updates, but caused this error. However, I haven't looked into the problem enough.

It is not the same issue. To narrow this down I need far more info from your environment and what attempts you tried to solve it already.

Looks like the github was updated. Running update[.]sh now downloads faf client version 2025.11.2. Thanks to the contributors/maintainers

Update 2: Point 1 and 2 should contradict themself, but it is what it is.... or was in that case. The gift was successfully accepted and now the linking was possible.

Can you re-install the latest available client (Download FAF), does the same issue occur?

Hello, I'm new too (45 ladder match played) and I have the same issue. It's strange as I have a good computer I'm (close to be) always the first in the match page in the game. Then it waits for the last 1 or 2 player to connect and then say that I've caused the matchmaking connection failure. I also have a stable connection normally. What can I check more on my side? It happens every 2 or 3 map I start. I feel sorry for the other one joining and not be able to play because of my problem.
