FAF's rules are set out on the main FAForever website - by accessing FAF services, you agree to the rules outlined there, which are supplemental to the FAF Terms of Service.

For details of how to report rule breaches and/or how the rules are enforced, please refer to the separate page on moderation

Separate contribution guidelines exist for those considering contributing to FAF, while there are also official tournament rules that apply to official FAF tournaments.

  • Please provide detailled logs and/or error messages!

@Jip said in Offline Line Campaign/Skirmish:

You need to host at least one (coop) game through the client. That will retrieve the file in question. Then you can play offline again.

The game files are not included with the launcher by default.

Thanks for the help Jip, I appreciate it.

The highlighting on this forum post made it clear my run file needs to be executable. That fixed it. Thank you.

@roscopeco2000 To play FAF, you need to launch the game through the FAF client, and you need to have FA installed on your computer (most people install it through Steam because they own it through Steam), and, you need certain FAF versions of files like units.nx2 and ForgedAlliance.exe. The FAF client will automatically download the needed files for you when you try to join a game.

The file that is downloaded, called ForgedAlliance.exe, is different from the ForgedAlliance.exe file that is part of the Steam installation.

... or type "d3d_WindowsCursor" in the console. The mod does that automatically every time you start the game. I tried to get to how it happens and what causes it, but all I managed to find is a conclusion that nvidia drivers sh** themselves at some point.

I viewed both logs and did not saw any issues.

A desync means you have different or modified files that don't match with others players.

Validate your game files with steam. (again)
    2a. Delete everything inside C:\ProgramData\FAForever\gamedata\
2b. Host a game with the FAF client to redownload the files into \FAForever\gamedata\ Delete all mods, also *.SCD mods that can be located in any \gamedata\ folder (kyros lobby as example)
4a. Delete the game.prefs file located in C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Game.prefs
4b. Start a game via Steam and create a new player inside the game (needed after deleting game.prefs)

    Then try again.

Try using windows update to update all your drivers. Fixed it for me. For me it was an old USB driver.

10 Home 21H1. As far as gameplay it varies, when the first crash happened the entire game just locks up, when I alt-TAB I find the debugger in the background. With this most recent crash the main screen (I play with dual-screen) completely crashed out.

Yeah Forged has been rock solid up until that major crashing bug a couple of patches ago and since then (until now obviously). I haven't tried another map yet so unsure if its something with this combination or my system in general.
