i played a lot 1v1 ladder back in time. its the supreme discipline and i loved it. i stopped it someday for a very banal reason. i was getting slower and slower. the age u know. so it wasnt anymore about strategy it starts to get all about execution.

that "fear" what ever that is, u have in every competative game. Like someone here said. its an ego thing. uhhh what if i lose? then i am worthless or what. i lost so many games and i just get pissed if did something very stupid.

Main draw of using ai for ladder is in the case that people can’t get a game at lower levels. You only have so much to make a decent impression and if somebody thinks ladder is super dead they might just give up on the idea of queueing entirely. An ai matchup in such cases would be an additional variable in the everpresent question of “no game” vs “a game.” Since lower rated (500ish) players play about as well as some of the best faf AIs, it doesn’t really seem like a waste of their time if you put yourself in their shoes as a guy looking for a quick, engaging game.

i understand that. but anyway filling the ladder with ai to make it more viable seems the wrong way. there r many reasons above u can work on. mappool. presenting ladder more fun. it has to be places on the startscreen. faf generally is so depressend designed. make it fun, make it futuric. name some ladderplayers. give them avatars. let them archive something. and the most "i quit ladder" rteason is for sure the behavior. no glhf no gg. absolute basic stuff in online gaming.

I see. The thing is, not too long ago, things were going really well. 3v3 is certainly also enjoyable. The beauty of it is that you can play what you like. However, Supreme Commander stands for large-scale battles, and that's what a whole series of players enjoy, and what sets Supreme Commander apart from other games. But that's nothing new.

Let's hope that the issue will be resolved quickly.

maybe i need more games to get used to the new patch. 90 % is great and make sence. but messing with the buildpower means u lose every feeling for timings. its not like u make diffent things with old tools. its more that u have diffrent tool now. i am not a fan of that.

Normaly if i support my shields with hives they recharge fast till the energy is full restored. (if u have the recources) Now its a strange behavour. They recharge just till 70 % or so. or they dont recharge till u klick again and then it jumps from 40 to 80 % for example.

Is that just me ?

I am testing it right now by joining gap games with diffrent vpn server locations.

At the moment, things are going well. But it’s not easy to say, because even when I turn off the VPN, it’s also running fine. Many games have crashed, but not because of me. I rather get the impression that there are certain players I have issues with. I don’t know why… maybe because they use a relay. It’s all not that simple to make sence out of it.

The best thing to do is to turn off Wi-Fi (WLAN) and disconnect everything from the router except the computer you want to use to play FAF.

Yeah, I feel the same way, because on my side everything was always actually fine. But people keep saying I’m lagging, and not just once but several times now. And I can also see on the connection screen that I’m spiking, because everyone except me is listed with like -1 or something.
