Was having issues with java in the menus, error said was to do with mod mod manager couldn't look or reset the mods, was unable to join games. Followed "magge" post there https://forum.faforever.com/post/41558 new alpha fixed it! Many thanks and hope the FerGanec guy found hell!

@dragnite there seems to be an issue with the current client version. It sometimes fails to read the game.prefs file or something along those lines. It should be fixed in the next client version. i found this post, but i dont know how to turn off LTE...: Have solved the problem. I have both the DSL and LTE connection active on my Telekom router, the Speedport-Pro. I have now switched off the LTE and it works. Hope I could help someone. To all others, thank you for your help.

Soo... i installed VPN and its worked, also i could login to faf without VPN next time,hope i will never need VPN again.

How old is your computer? I recently got a Legion Pro running Windows 11, but before that I tested three other laptops. All had Windows 11 and either an 11th gen or 12th gen Intel CPU. All 4 laptops had no problems hosting games with mods. My older laptop that had issues is Windows 10 with an i7-5500u. Don't know if the bug is related to Windows version or older hardware? I did just run into another player on FAF asking for help with the same problem, but I didn't ask him his specs.
