    @maudlin27 I think you're underrating the shield by rating it purely on its stats/mass for a few reasons: A big shield HP pool is super valuable to the UEF roster due to their reliance on Percies which are very vulnerable to AoE from Ythotha, Megalith, Fatboy, and SACUs. Percies are also vulnerable to overcharge which is imo a bit too early to be building shield SACU vs ACU, but Sera SACU can have OC that the shield would be good against. The shield generator also does not die to a single OC like other mobile shields. Due to overspill shields have a cap of 3.3x their HP in terms of how much damage a shield ball can block, so having 2.2x the HP of Sera which is 3.3x UEF and 2.85x Aeon lets even just the first shield have much more effective HP than stacked mobile shields. Sure you can micro shields in/out or off/on to mitigate overspill, but vs burst damage there's no time for micro, which plays especially nicely into UEF's roster countering the air snipes that Fatboys experience. The single large bubble takes less damage from AoE than stacked small bubbles. For example billy nuke definitely would not go straight through and kill the shield generator, while it can 1-shot giant stacks of T2 shields and 2-shots stacks of T3 shields due to how AoE interacts with multiple small shields defending each other to deal extreme damage. The SACU also has buildpower, can be upgraded with sensors, and has tons of HP letting it survive to recharge instead of dying like normal mobile shields.

    Most likely the game was set to the sandbox victory condition in the lobby options. You can check the game options if you click download more info on the replay in the client.

    You must balance your attention depending on the circumstances. The duke can be given "target priority" and ignored. The nuke and nuke defense only need to be paused or unpaused. Mercy and fire beetle probably don't have any targets in range if they're next to a duke/nuke on the Seraphim Glaciers map so you can ignore them. A single corsair/janus, strat bomber, and aeon torp bomber aren't going to do much by themselves so you can ignore them, or fly them somewhere safe. The nuke sub requires attention, you have to consider turning off its tactical missiles to avoid being spotted, and then move it somewhere safe. But the most important thing is probably to tell the SACU to build stuff. Whether it's mexes, or a land fac, so you can make engineers, or a shield for the Duke. You will want to be building something before you consider putting it into a transport.

    Actually it's very viable if you can reclaim t2 pd or you can force enemy to run. t2 pd + t2 com tech = 1200 mass, t2 pd reclaim = ~400 mass. You need ~3 mins(180 secs) to run from mid to your base, so in that time team with gun can get your t2 pd reclaim(400mass) OR ~2 t1 extractors (4 mass/sec)=4*180=720 mass. So overall team with 1 gun com(500-800) investment will pay for itself and get 500-1000 more mass than enemy.

    I don't think there is an option to avoid it, but what you can do is select all lower level engies, set them to assist the higher levels and then select the high tier engies and use them. Also subs do attack while moving

    Honestly it’s really not much better on the East coast after working hours… I’m at ~1750 tmm and ladder, have a lot of trouble getting any matches after working hours. There really just is not as many people in the US that like rts, but yet we’re having a good time as we have Nexus, Turbo2, Tex, and Swkoll which combine for a rather stellar representation… Only problem is that it doesn’t seem to really influence power to mid tier play…

    The test has ended, mostly successfully. We had 1 case of a replay prematurely ending, of course we failed to reproduce it afterwards. I'll have to think about it. Other than that the server seems to work fine. Many thanks to all the testers!

    Have you had a look at this? Granted this is for sweetfx, but the two presets explain you need to disable aa, and the other mentions FAF specifically.

    There used to be a mod that claimed to fix lag, but instead it would randomly give cheating buffs to random players so other players report them as cheaters

    Just add the offending player to your FOE list in chat afterwards and over time you'll build up a list of people to avoid who keep joining games fully knowing that they'll make the game miserable for everyone...sigh...

    To add to what Jip said, it looks like you are trying to upgrade a support factory to t3; you first need to reach the relevant teach tier on your HQ factory, afterwards, you'll be able to build/upgrade the support factories.

    @biass Thats good to hear. Thank you for admiting the mistake, that shows that the council is willing to make an effort to improve, and thats good to see after this whole mess. I hope the council continues to do so over time.
