@captainklutz 01:46:55 - It did look weird
I agree with Sladow here. Quite often less is more, which is especially true for icons. Imo, many different and colorful icons will scream to you for attention and make it kinda hard to decipher them. However, for some important structures I do find special icons useful. Personally, I am using a modfied version of the ASI mod, using only a couple of (for me) important icons like (TML/SML/SMD...) and deleted all the others (so using the base game icons). Works fine for me and doesnt clutter the screen to much.
Icons are a rather personal thing and usually come down to preference and habit.
@p4block I am playing over 4G (AT) which always worked pretty well. Most I had was a bad con to a couple of Australian players. However, since a couple of days I have trouble connecting to certain players which makes it kinda hard to play tmm and bigger lobbies. Refaf doesnt really help either.
Just tried it and it feels like a huge improvement. Transports are way more responsive, drop quicker and are much faster when traversing mountains. great job!
@Nex I am curious how you figured that out. When looking at the log, i only see the following error.
warning: Error running OnRelease script in <deleted object>: ...mdata\faforever\gamedata\lua.nx2\lua\maui\button.lua(119): Game object has been destroyed
stack traceback:
which, afair, looks different from the sound bug thing. Happy to learn some stuff
@ oh there is this one too
warning: Unknown DirectSound speaker configuration 8. Defaulting to Stereo
and this one which is the smoking gun, isnt it?
warning: SND: XACT3DApply failed.
Who uses "they" when speaking about a person?
@shdwurchinn You could try to delete your game.prefs file.
Then, go to steam/gog and start a game (which recreates your game.prefs file) and try again on FAF.
You find the game.prefs file in the client in the burger menu top left corner.
@shdwurchinn start a game from steam or gog once and then try again on FAF
@thewarpotato happy to hear. What was the issue excatly and how did you fix it?
@thewarpotato perhaps some security software blocking it?
just got a 2v2 (yea those do happen from time to time) on The Requisite and the spawns were wrong. @Blodir

you seem to suffer from the sound bug
"warning: SND: Error playing cue 1 on bank 5 [music]
XACT: Invalid arg"
see here how to fix

pls post the game log so others can have a look what may have caused the issue
FAF servers migrated yesterday, so there is a good chance that not all services are up and running stable yet.
are u playing windowed mode or fullscreen? SC doesnt like the latter and is known to cause issues when u ALt-tab.
technical support channel on FAF discord is usually the better place to ask if u got issues.
@cubeo3 the side buttons of your mouse cannot directly be mapped as hotkeys. However, an additional remapping program (eg x-mouse button control) lets u emulate a keyboard button with your eg 3rd mouse button, which in turn, can be mapped as a hotkey in FAF
Take a look here in the list of the most common issues

might be point 2
here is a list with the most common issues.
yours seems to be point 2
Something is blocking the client to have access to the internet, or you have a very unstable connection.
-->
Check if your internet connection is stable
Check if firewall is blocking the access
Disable security software for testing purpose
Try a VPN from a different country
