And ordered them to assist my nuke launcher. My PC almost died. Can this be optimized?

@Ctrl-K I don't think you need a replay ID, as it would take you a lot of time to get to the point of interest. Just get into a game with cheating, spam several hundred kennels and order them to assist a nuke launcher.
Most of the time I play on ultra with no issues. It's either their construction beams or them orbiting.

Several hundred is like 300 to 500, well unfortunately that is 600-1000 flying units, and that is a lot.
however surprisingly i think they don't cause that much of sim slowdown
i tested with ~300 and my problem was FPS.
disabling range rings helped to improve FPS
Game is trying to calculate range rings for all the drones and combine them and looks like that is what causing the problem.i5 12400F

FPS drops to 10-15 when i zoom into 611 drones assisting a nuke
Given that in real game you will also have other stuff happening i'd say that 300 kennels is just to much
it is like trying to blowup TNT in minecraft, you can upgrade to 4090\9950 X3D and maybe you can blow up 1000 TNT, but then you will want to blow up 5000 TNT and game will start lagging againEdit: forgot to say that disabling range rings improved FPS back to 60 (i have it locked on 60)

@ZLO Thanks. Good to know. Video lags: disable rings. I think this also applies to a lot of SACUs, since they have a lot of different rings.

@ZLO I turned off all rings. I hit F9 to see my max sim speed. When the launcher is full, and the drones are doing nothing, I have +11 max speed, when they start orbiting it and shooting their beams, it drops to +2, but I still get freezes. I think the slowdown is graphic. Maybe it is the beams or the construction bars on the drones.
I tested this with 300 fully upgraded kennels vs 400 hives. Hives don't give me this.

Range rings on, 300 kennels (600 drones), 1 paragon, 1 nuke (paused so that the drones bug out permanently assisting it):- Fully zoomed out 20km:
- drones building: sim time: ~3.5ms (+14 max); FPS: ~230
- drones paused: sim time: ~3.0ms (+15 max); FPS ~230
- drones selected + building: sim time: ~3.4ms (+14); FPS ~210
- drones selected + paused: sim time: ~3.0ms (+15); FPS: ~210
- Once I zoom in until the beams are visible (kennels are offscreen, only drones and nuke are on screen):
- drones building: sim time: ~3.8ms (+14 max); FPS: ~180
- drones paused: sim time: ~3.1ms (+15 max); FPS ~200
- drones selected + building: sim time: ~3.6ms (+14); FPS ~145
- drones selected + paused: sim time: ~3.0ms (+15); FPS: ~155
- Once I zoom in and the drones are now visible (use freecam to see the models pop in):
- drones building: sim time: ~24.1ms (+6 max); FPS: ~125
- drones paused: sim time: ~2.9ms (+15 max); FPS ~178
- drones selected + building: sim time: ~24.4ms (+6); FPS ~100
- drones selected + paused: sim time: ~3.0ms (+15); FPS: ~140
- Zooming in further just causes FPS to drop further down, especially with drones selected (120 fps with all the beams on, 14 with selection). Doing stuff from the console like hiding lifebars, hiding meshes, hiding fx, and changing fidelity does nothing to improve the sim speed.

And if I remove the build effects entirely
CreateBuildEffects = function() end,
then the sim speed issue goes away entirely, 3.8ms while building and zoomed in. So it seems to be an efficiency issue with UEF build effects, and perhaps kennel drones could have their own special version just for lag reasons.
