    I'm not sure what you mean by super buggy audio, but it would be helpful if you could try these specific workarounds since I've developed fixes for them: Change from 5.1 (side speakers) or 7.1 audio to stereo. Side speakers because FA supports the older 5.1 back speakers channel format. This is the bug fixed in the binary patch. If your PC uptime is more than 24.86 days, sounds will play once per game session. Restarting your PC will fix this. This is a bug in XACT so it doesn't fit in a binary patch.

    Thanks for your replies, I tested Eternal Strategic Icons, in combination with Penguin's Icon Mod and ACU Highlight (those three mods seem to be compatible), and it looks a lot nicer with the size increase of 150%

    If that is the case, then FAF is almost certainly leaking sockets. My system only has ~200 TCP sockets open at idle, and only ~10 of those are in active use at any given time. I wrote a little script to monitor it and log the TCP port count and activity. Hopefully my next game will reveal the issue.

    Responding to an old thread to try and provide insight in to how I fixed a niche flavor of this issue on my machine. I've been running FAF on a 2-in-1 laptop (with pen + tablet functionality) that was primarily static on my desk. With this laptop, when you physically rotate it it will rotate the screen 90 degrees such that you can take notes, read, etc. Ended up bringing it along to a hotel, and started having this issue. FAF can't handle portrait orientation, and as a result of my machine being in my backpack vertically for some period of time, it somehow got stuck in a weird state where it was showing that it was landscape on the display settings screen, but some bit was flipped to say that it was portrait. I flipped my laptop on its side once, and then back to normal and everything works fine now. Hopefully save some other poor soul the headache of troubleshooting that one....

    If you have a client version before 2022.1.4 there was a bug where it might not download the generator correctly so try updating your client.

    Usually, surround sound causes problems with Supreme Commander. Just enforce stereo sound in your windows settings or sound software. Обычно объемный звук вызывает проблемы с Supreme Commander. Просто включите стереозвук в настройках windows или звуковой программы.

    Map generator can not create the map file. Your OS or Antivirus is blocking it, I assume, because you deliver zero information about anything else about your system.

    Resolved the issue and wanted to provide closure if anyone else finds this thread. I uninstalled and deleted the sup com games (vanilla and fa), deleted the fad client, then resinstalled the games and the faf client. Went into faf settings and updated the patching to where I had supcom fa installed. After that, i was able to create/enter games. Thanks to Sheikah for their help.

    I had the same problem and it turned out to be a failed cpu heating system. Replaced it and all is well (almost). Also found that the network part of my motherboard was failing so I had to put in a new network card. BTW, my computer is a desktop that is 4 1/2 years old but still works great (except for the parts that failed
