    Hi! Since July 16 I can't join or host any game — FA launches, reaches the lobby, then hangs on "Connecting..." forever. The ICE debug window and telemetry stay completely empty: no peers, no gathering, nothing. From my logs the game processes CreateLobby fine and the client receives GameState Idle → Lobby, but after that no JoinGame / HostGame / ConnectToPeer ever arrives, so the ICE adapter is never asked to connect to anyone. My lobby connection itself looks healthy the whole time (join requests get responses, I even got a game_not_ready error back once, and the game list keeps updating live). Last working game: July 15. Same silent behavior on client 2026.1.0 and after updating to 2026.4.1 — ~12 attempts across 6+ different games.

    Achievements don't work?

    Achievements are hidden in a separate window and are not so noticeable. The problem is big and not a priority. If there is something from the main functionality concerning the main task of the client, then it is better not to be distracted by these cosmetic trifles! Maybe then it's better to turn them off. The functionality that does not work is like a red rag for a bull - extra nervousness and an incentive to senseless action. At least this way the problem will be solved in terms of complaints. Personally, this problem with achievements annoys me much less than those drops in the global games statistics graph during the 2vs2 matchmaker tests. That's where it would definitely be worth doing something... delete the data for a couple of weeks while the test lasted and everything was not corrected , or somehow try to transfer the data to the desired schedule...

    You can run FAF in Windowed mode. Options > Video> Primary adapter> Windowed

    @veteranashe yes, buy a phisical copy, it should have a key on a disk, using key redeem game on steam, don't even need to use the disk

    We won't introduce additional IO functionality. As Brutus states, it is extremely dangerous. @Genos is technically correct that we can already flood the disk, but that isn't an argument to open up more IO functionality.

    There is a mod in the vault called "ChatSilencer" It stops you from seeing anyone else's chat. It does not silence pings or map markers. (In the past I was working on doing that, but I gave up and I don't feel like finishing the program, so for now it only silences chat.)

    The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process: This can be: a hanging client instance that wasn't closed properly a still running game a retarded AntiVirus For 1) and 2) you either manually kill the process in the task manager or restart your PC. For 3) you disable your antivirus, configure it correctly or consider that additional AntiVirus in 2022 is useless (Microsoft Defender offers the same level of security)

    I just noticed my 170 benchscore equals the 171 i5-8250U one... but where my PC took 98 seconds, he i5-8250U took almost double with 171 seconds.
