The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

    • RE: onedrive

One other detail: I installed SupCom Forged Alliance first, then at some later point I uninstalled OneDrive, and then recently I installed FAF Client, so OneDrive was long gone but it seems like SupCom Forged Alliance used the OneDrive path for its files, and even when OneDrive was uninstalled, the file paths it used were still there, probably because Win11 didn't move all the stuff and delete those folders, it just kept a shortcut to those folders, or redirected to them. My desktop is still :\Users\me\OneDrive\Desktop. Perhaps this issue is caused by file permissions/properties trouble or shenanigans from installing SupCom Forged Alliance using folders that OneDrive needs to access.

    • RE: onedrive

I had this problem, and found a fix/workaround:

      Uninstall FAF Client
      Uninstall SupCom Forged Alliance
      Uninstall OneDrive

      Reinstall SupCom Forged Alliance
      Reinstall FAF Client

My results: I got the warning, but I was able to change the Mods and Maps directory and it did not recurse to the OneDrive path.

I setup my laptop forever ago and installed SupCom Forged Alliance, in Steam, first thing, and I installed FAF later on. I'm assuming OneDrive was already installed, and I'm assuming that's why SupCom Forged Alliance put the user directory in OneDrive, or some combination of that.

    • I can't run 2022.10 on Win 11

When I try to run .10, I get a startup error (error text posted at the bottom of message)

      This always happens with .10

      I've tried:

Download installer from the site, and install
Manually uninstall FAF, and run the installer downloaded from the site
Install 2022.8, and upgrade to 2022.10 from inside FAF

I always get the startup error when I try to launch 10

.9 worked fine, and I can run .8 just fine, too.

      Anyone else have this problem?

      Thanks-

    • RE: Small suggestions topic

@jip I know there are chat commands for this, but a rank total and quality number displayed for everyone in the lobby would be really helpful in settling discussions about balance.

      Thanks!
