The mod vault can't hold ui mods that modify icons in the game. There is work being done to let it do so. The solution to letting them do it is different from the way advanced strategic icons is currently built. So building on that foundation is going to be different than the more future-proof method he is talking about.
-
While it is not released yet, we can use the "old" solution... No?
-
Of course it is would be cool if there will be the release where we can modify textures like lua files via hook in mod folder
-
Well you can always use the old solution afaik; it just can't be put into the ui mod vault which means it's a PITA to go get and then update when needed.
-
a mod that removes the unnecessary huge borderline from the minimap.

Edit:
So I've been told that downloading that file and just adding it to that directory didn't work. Don't know why, perhaps during the installation of the mod it adds something to the game.pref file. My mistake, and my apologies if I wasted your time trying this. At least it works on my pc.I know it's been said that the Advanced Strategic Icons mod is getting worked on to be easily customisable, but here's a temporary simple solution for anyone who wants it. Place this .nxt file:
in
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\gamedata
It uses the small versions from the mod of nuke, SMD, TML and TMD. I also took the ACU icon and increased it from about 12x12 pixels to 16x16. It made it blurry due to pixels doing their thing, so I touched it up just now by hand in Gimp to make it crisp again.

An eco mod which replaces the current eco panel with a graph. Benefit of a graph is you can display predictable trends in your income and storage. Since Eco (baring reclaim from the enemy) is predictable, as are times taken to execute orders, I don't see why a mod can't be made to accurately predict the state of your eco in the future (e.g. 1 min into the future) and display the information in the form of a graph. I know pro players (you know who you are) and average joes (all of us) e-stall all the time, so having a mod which shows you that the order you just que'd up will result in a power stall in 45 seconds should be invaluable.

That mod idea about not having move commands get converted into a patrol, can that be made please! I'd 100% use that mod always.
-
mod that would prevent you from acccidentally canceling your HQ by assisting other factory with the HQ
-
I'll look into it Zlo but kinda got a backlog of stuff already. And SCTA things been keeping me busy.
-
@Yadle Oh god, THANK YOU for the small version!
I've installed full strategic icons mod from original thread and had a constant thought in my head "what was the point to change all icons? you've successfully made everything indistinguishable junk, just like with original icons" -
Suggestion:
Let me always see the current commands. At the moment we have to hold the shift key. Maybe togglable or something to see it permantly.

@D06pblH9l Hey no worries, glad it helped someone. Guessing that means you got it to work? Not sure why just placing the .nxt file in that directory doesn't work, but I know going into it once the mod is already installed and deleting the icons you don't want changed, and replacing those you do with the ones (or others) that I uploaded works. I've since changed the TML and TMD back to their original icons as well, but keeping the purple/red outlines that the mod introduces. (Also gave my ACU a cowboy hat for a few games, but decided against keeping that =P.) Here's the file with the updated TML and TMD icons if you want it.
