I have repeatedly and extensively sought out user feedback (with discussions, surveys, polls, etc)
No evidence of feedback or development suggestions made from said feedback. I do know you have made, like what? 3 polls about full share or share until death in tmm now and each one has had full share be the dominant result? Funny how you never mention the result and just keep making a new poll about it when the issue comes up, though.
and took an activist-type stance on behalf of much of the community
Activism requires action. Name the actions.
that you tend to disvalue so much.
Too busy actually doing actions based on addressing various stresspoints on FAF.
I actually try to find out what would improve FAF and related for lots of players/FAF communities and try to foster constructive communication and contribution, which is more like what a proper PC should do imo than your method of catering to a small minority while disvaluing and dismissing majority opinions...
lol, there is almost nobody on FAF more directly connected to random players than me. I've directly led to like half a dozen dudes into continuing to climb the ladder of contribution on FAF. Let's see, I kept Jagged and Petric motivated to continue helping out in balance. I made Hint and Javi trainers and now Javi has even begun helping out in promotional work. As soon as anybody expressed interest in doing a development adjustment (ladder rating brackets, veto system) I gave them all the resources they would need to contribute as well as who to contact. I've pushed several casters into continuing to do their work by giving them games to cast, working with them to expose themselves on FAFLive, and generally keeping them informed on where to promote themselves on FAF. I can keep going, really.
I find what would improve FAF. I find people. I get them to either help FAF or keep helping FAF. I work my hardest to keep these people and grow FAF more and more as a service.
I have also put a lot of effort into learning gameplay/variance/aesthetic/etc criteria for evaluating maps/ladder/tmm better,
Yes, my system.
with particular focuses on what types/styles of maps/gameplay/etc are desirable for different FAF communities/player-types. That is a large aspect of the sort of stuff a good Player Councilor should do imo, and you dismiss/neglect a lot of it.
I am perfectly capable of determining map complexity. Whenever a new player talks to me on FAF I always ask
- Have you tried out a matchmaker
- What did you think of the maps
- Did you think they were too hard
The vast majority say the map pools are great and they have no problem with map complexity.
And that's in addition to my contributions with related things like making maps,
Maps considered not viable for competitive play
working on map gen
Not a PC duty
and teaching noobs how to improve at FAF...
Never seen you do it in 3 years.
Also, I didn't 'refuse to work anywhere you are'; that's blatantly false as well.
You said you did not train in public because I am in public.
"Further, I am not one of YOUR trainers, but I do train people. As I've said, dealing with you is often unpleasant."
Means you aren't a publicly recognized trainer because you refuse to deal with me.
