      Suggestion ; reduce the amount of rating gained or lost from each game, curently averages out for me about 10 points per game.

      Aim ; Reduce the large amount of rating variation players can experiance through randomness

      This is my rating chart, its an example of the huge amount of rating variation a player can experiance, I havent changed the way I play or gotten any better or worse from what I can tell its purely a result of the random encounters in team games.

      reducing the points lost or gained from each game will reduce the massive variation experianced and will produce more stable and accurate representation of player skill through rating and produce more equaly balanced games overall. Meaning that a player will have to play consistantly good or bad in order to gain or lose points and not just be the result of a few badly balanced games.

    • If you could change one thing about FAF/Supcom, What would it be and why?

      For me I would nurf the billy nuke due to there being no effective counter against it.

      Possible fixes in my mind,

      1. Reduce range to expose ACU a little more and lower damage to not one shot t3 units.
      2. allow T3 mobile AA to switch fire and target missiles.

    • Im done with billy nukes

      From now on if I see any of my team or opponents make a billy upgrade Im just leaving the game

      The billy is by far the most stupid thing in this game

      one billy nuke can completely delete an antire T3 army thats about 30 - 40k mass killed in one shot

      only cybran have a mobile counter to it

      so if your op has billy you cannot win by land

      you cant creep T2 Tac Def all the way into you ops base

      it takes 4 or 5 tmd to defend one

      I give up

    • T2 used for sniping just makes for a sad game

      I have seen many games in which a player will just choose to sit there abuse T2 air spam, click commander = win.

      Here is an example one full health com at 11 mins 11,500 hp with gun upgrade first pass hp down to 5900hp second pass + dead, even with adept dodging, 13 corsair.

      Players choosing to abuse a machanic that is clearly op just flat out ruines the game for all, and I am shure thats why the balance team chose to nerf the Mercy as that was the most obvious version of the T2 snipe machanic shurely the other T2 air units fall under the same catagory.thethet.jpg ethetge.jpg hterh.jpg

      this continued and sniped at least one more player, in this game and many other games.

      Rather slowing it down a bit

      this would mean that in my situation my chart would look more like these

      Because as a mechanic the storm sucks, its only real effect on the game is slow you down, ok a storm now exists and we just have to wait 30 seconds before we can move on with the game. or to reward brain rot suicide tactics.

      No flak would not have saved me, flak only reduces the likely hood of multiple passes flak does not insta kill corsair sadly, second yoji was full health and had air support, still died because it takes a significant more investment to stop corsair attack.

      I say constant attack because if you look at the game the corsair spammer doesnt just make 5 corsair and moves on with their life they are spamming them nonstop if i didnt die to first five then another 20 would have killed me.

      and why focus on just me at least 3 coms died to corsair abuse in that game.

      and you say overextended I was bearly over the halfway line.

      I have another 50+ replays of make corsair = win game

      If the hp is just lowered abit to make T1 air more useful or make the costs more you can still have your op com killing cheese unit, it just wont be as easy to abuse.

      @Deribus @Endranii @arma473 @BalanceSlave The examples shown are what normal defenses a typical player would have less they just sit in the base all day and make flak and shields.

      A player spamming t2 air commits all they have to air production yes its a lot of mass, however if you play as most people do, you lose to this tactic every time as you wont have equal mass invested into AA defenses, rather into factories, tanks, t2 land, mexes ect.

      So I ask you this, when you play, do you play just to snipe other players and end the game as quickly as possible or do you play to actualy enjoy the game?

      Becouse this tactic kinda ruins how most poeple enjoy the game.

      imagine you spend quite a lot of time queing, finaly get a game that is'nt broken only to end like that. Poeple ask, was it worth playing.

      I dont ask that T2 Bombers are removed from the game completely, just turned down a little so people stand a chance.

      In this test the com had 4 mobile shield and 4 mobile flak agaisnt 15 corsair, can you guess who wins?

      15 cosair less than some of the game examples, the t2 shield whent down and then came back on but it still wasnt enough to protect com.tnreyjhney.jpg yjtk.jpg
