Will TML ever be balanced?

Yea my bad, I wasn't aware that change was for the billy only.

TML are by far the largest thing I dislike about this game;
- they can reach a hella large distance so on large maps you have to build a lot of TMD so 1 TML = about 10 TMD
- only built by t2 engies, so its even harder to spread TMD around, and if some try hard rushes TML launcher takes out your hq you can then no longer build T2 engies and the game is over.
- To much damage only 2 to kill a un-upgraded com thats standing still and doesnt leave any mass behind when killing t2 mexes.
- large capacity, so you can easily string 4-5 launches in a very small amount of time and kill opponents eco.
- very cheap for a t2 unit can easily be made with t1 energy.

If you heavily assist with engis / kennels / hives though (which usually is the case) you'll get the impression it's bugged. At least I only learnt about the delay ~6 months ago and before that I always tried to walk and stop my ACU cuz I thought it was buggy.
The delay is there so you cannot spam 3 billies within 15 seconds (which is possible as you have the ressources for loading the billy after you upgraded it) and annihilate every land army on the map immediately.1 random loyalist and your billy ACU is a very sad boy anyway. It is such an hard counter to Billy its not even funny

@firv At least you can shoot down your own billy now though. Also Cybran needs it as their army has no shields so you'd always kill 15k+ mass with each shot the moment they push out of TMD / static shields.

Slightly off-topic but TML related
Q: what if you reclaim your own TML (considering it obsolete for whatever reason at that time). Do you get more mass if you reclaim it while it has still missiles loaded? Or is it the same deal regardless of missile content? -
@jusbeginning Regardless of missile count, the amount of reclaim remains the same.

Maybe, it just feels so wrong that a single unit can completly nullify a very expensive upgrade. Basicly when I see thats there is cybran land on the field, i don't even think about the billy upgrade anymore.

@firv There is no other way to balance it really besides "just stay in your base if you know your opponent has billy".

@wtfboomnoob Yeah its just a bit jarring that they went from having no counter to absolute immunity though, which is a bit opressive. Cybran is already very strong and didnt really need a buff in that stage imho

Heres another example of TML's being insanely cheap and massively OP!
The images show a TML rush in 8 minutes and a single Missile one shoting a 5500 hp full health T2 HQ before a single engineer is made and therefor the game is already lost as you now cannot defend against it.

I like TML being an early game ender on small maps where you get it first and TML the HQ.

How much mass is in a tml snipe of a hq compared to a Corsair snipe on a aco or a hw

To one hit ko a T2 HQ you need 5 corsair
5 corsair mass = 2100
1 tml + missile = 1030 mass5 corsair energy = 42,000
1 tml + missile = 7,000time to build 5 corsair = 5 minutes
time to build tml + missile = 1.35 minutesthe numbers become even more insane when you realise once you have built the launcher each missile that does 5000 damage is only 180 mass lol
for referance 4 t1 tanks is 224 mass
even next to another overpowered unit the T2 bomber the tml is stupid cheap and high damage.
when you begin comparing the numbers its blinding obvious that the tml is overpowered.
its like GPG added it to the game as a joke and people havnt noticed yet
for another referance a TML + 3 missile is 1390 mass for 15000 damage
a Mavor is 5,994,000 mass and 16000 damage per shot
for the price of a Mavor you can get 33, 300 Missiles which is 166.5 million damage or equivalent 10,406 mavor shots.

this reminded me that in supreme commander before forged alliance TML was a homing missile launcher

Okay, but consider this: the SNOOP (uef tech 1 land scout) costs ONLY TWELVE mass and does 2 damage PER SECOND?
Let me paint you the picture: a snoop could LITERALLY kill 1000 mavors (6 billion mass apparently) FOR THE COST OF TWELVE MASS????
This is utterly ridiculous and I don't understand how this has flown under everyone's, especially chris taylor's, radars.I will not stand for this.
No longer will I suffer from the poor decisions of the balance team.
Snoops are stupid and they ruin the game
