The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

At worst you can just go to every .scm file on github and just check the commit history (example).     it's not "dumb", it's an explosive reactor and the gunships happen to fly low enough to be affected by its explosion. also, increasing their flight height makes flak projectiles take longer to reach them. as a result flak needs to shoot further ahead on their trajectory, making it ever so slightly easier for gunships to dodge flak projectiles. no change comes without consequences
