The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

      About this tournament series

The "Super-Noob Olympics" are our entry-level tournaments. First and foremost, they are meant to be a sparring floor for beginners. Map pools will be appropriate for the skill level e.g. usually avoiding 20x20 and high reclaim maps. As beginners tend to be less familiar even with the "classics", we try to release the map pool somewhat early in order to provide you with some time to practice.

      About the Dojo tournaments

We alternatingly hold entry- and mid-level tournaments on a monthly basis, also alternating between 2v2 and 3v3. Usually, we run our events on the 4th Saturday of the month with 2 PM UTC being the kick-off time.

      Current rotation:

      • Average Joe 2v2 (u1650 individual, u3000 combined)
      • Super-Noob 3v3 (u1250 individual, u3300 combined)
      • Average Joe 3v3 (u1650 individual, u4500 combined)
      • Super-Noob 2v2 (u1250 individual, u2200 combined)

On said tournaments page, you can also find the hall of fame and all previous results including replay IDs and lineups. If you want to research an opponent who took part in one of our previous events, you surely can.

    • RE: Recall Behavior Adjustment

I don't agree tbh. Most people won't know about the log file, and it would probably just lead to more toxicity.

    • Overhaul "Toggle all unit abilities" behaviour on ACUs

The key binding I'm referring to:

      • Orders > Toggle all unit abilities

      What it does:
It lets you e.g. toggle the walking ability on Salems, stealth on air units, and so on...

      Current behaviour on ACUs:

      Aeon / UEF ACU

      • Toggles: Shield (Field)

      Cybran ACU

      • Toggles: Stealth

      Seraphim ACU

      • Toggles: Absolutely nothing.

Why would I ever want to deactivate any of these upgrades once I've unlocked them?

      My suggestion:

Let it toggle the auto-overcharge instead. That way, it would be useful kind of all game long, and the hotkey would finally be functional for all factions.

      Thanks for considering.

Easiest fix would probably be to delay the refresh rate of the custom game list by say 5s.

    • RE: Is there a good explanation why SupCom never became a proper cybersport?

That would be huge. But even then, the player base is too small. Quake had a super small competitive scene as well in the end, nonetheless ID kept it alive for very long, and even kept hosting the QuakeCon for the QPL finals. Unfortunately, there is no publisher support for FAF. You can tell the difference in production value if you compare the average FAF stream to QPL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI4M5u5IxAA

Edit2: so basically my point is that at 1rst game was popular, but was not that great, but later it is great, but no longer popular

If the mechanics or balancing are crap, there's literally zero percent chance to become a big esport title. The only way around that is if we're talking successors for an existing series like Counter-Strike. There's a huge fanbase willing to wait.

    • RE: Request: Allow lobbies to restrict by # of games played

"talent" is overrated. and if experience does lead to more competent in-game decisions, ... i don't know how you'd call that, my man... i'd call it skill.

    • RE: Historical Replays and 404'd Links

There's some problem with the old replay server or sth. Anything that's older than 2, 3 years or sth along these lines cannot be accessed as of now. I'm pretty sure the team will look into it at some point, but I believe it ain't high prio.
