Add the Tombstones from the 2025 April Fool's Update as a Permanent Feature
-
If gets into main game, bye, immersion.
-
i also think they're a little too "silly" to keep
-
Its just a UI feature so people can choose if they want them or not in an in game setting
Aeon or seraphim could be like a floating spinning disk or just the icon floating
just some inspiration.

This is not a UI feature.

To BlackYps point, can you elaborate on what you mean by "they're"?
The current tombstones, my designs, the entire concept? Would you prefer the wrecks avenue?
-
tombstones in general.
and wrecks would be cool, but confusing, because you can't reclaim themhonestly reclaimable ACU wrecks doesn't sound so bad because I strongly dislike when players are able to blow up your army with their ACU and their team loses nothing of value. However currently ACUs "cost" a ton of resources so I imagine a wreck would give way too much also

This is easily adjustable in wreckage parameters. Also ACUs only cost 2000 mass right now, so you could just add wrecks without changing anything.

huge dub

The best part of the feature was the "funny" text of the tombstone. So idc what the wreck or tombstone looks like.
Would be sad if this just goes -
What if they were death markers? UI modders can mod the text and casters/players can use it to see who died and how, with restrictions as needed for players (allies only at minimum). They would be created in a similar fashion to Notify messages.
This would have no sim changes like wrecks or other objects, thus keeping the immersion somewhat intact (UI is immersion-breaking in general, but this is less so than objects in the world). -
I'd probably not have the feature like that. Would prefer a wreck / tombstone over just a message
