Yes and no.
Due to DDoS we can no longer run our own TURN servers, so we have to use 3rd party ones. Our current provider Xirsys seems to work, but people have still connectivity issues and it could be related due to issues in our current ice adapter. We know this, because it doesn't work together with Cloudflare TURN service at all.With the new solution we can use Cloudflare, which is also cheaper than Xirsys.
So it does not directly impacts DDoS related problem, but it is related to it.

No more debug connection window.
There is an old trick serving a minimal html page from the application.
Setup setInterval(1000,function(){location.reload()}) in the page header so the page refresh itself after timeout. -
i can get back on wifi and turn on the microwave if you need a stress test

@Brutus5000 I and a few other in Australia play most weeks and really only ever play custom games. We are probably a good group to test, because we seem to often hit connectivity issues that cause people to leave and rejoin and switch networks sometimes. We should be able to manage getting eveyone on the same test client too.
Are there some basic instructions for how to access, install and run the test client?

Not yet, because we didn't find time to build a test release yet. DDoS is more important to fix right now (and it is really time consuming).

FYI for any testers: You can install the Pioneer Build Client separately and have two working clients on your system - just choose a different install directory.

For anyone installing the test client on Windows I would recommend taking a copy of your shortcut (and renaming) before you install the test client, as this will be overwritten by the test client installer.
I have tested and the client did run, but did not launch the game client. Bug raised with details in the repo. https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/issues/3355

Is there a current status?
I tested “v2025.6.0-pioneer-beta-2” a few weeks ago.
My experience was as follows.
Client 1 was able to create a lobby (v2025.6.0-pioneer-beta-2).
Client 2 was unable to connect to the lobby (v2025.6.0-pioneer-beta-2).There were no general connection problems with either client, as the standard version of FAF worked.

I don't have time to work on it currently.
It doesn't work on testers machines with Windows, but it worked between 2 Linux machines
