Rating Reset

Hello,

I was looking to play after a decade long break. My rating on this account is very high, and it has alot of games so it moves quite slowly.

I was hoping you could reset this account. I don't really have interest in ruining dozens and dozens of people's games to manually get my rating lower.

I tried creating a new account to solve this, but I guess it is against the ToS. Apologies.

I am no expert but I don't believe it can be done. All you got to do is just start grinding and your rating will correct itself pretty quickly. Don't worry about anyone in game who might have a problem with it, most people don't care. If you think your rating has to come down a bit then just host some all welcome 1v1 custom games and you'll get knocked down to size really quick.

i don't think many high rated players will mind you playing, really. most people don't care about global rating

and yeah ive never seen a rating reset/correction unless a player cheated to get their rating

Another thing is that you can just jump into the 2v2 3v3 or 4v4 TMM Queue and un-rust there. Especially as from what I heard, the ratings there a quite more inflated, so it should be easier for you to regain your footing as you will be starting more or less from scratch there.

The thing is, if you didnt do your post here, and your old account really was inactive for a decade, then noone would have noticed you creating a second account

@Nuggets He's posting because we noticed. While still not perfect, our smurf-detection stuff has gotten much better and we're catching more accounts made by people who already own one.

I'm in the same boat if it makes you feel better. I had a rating back from the early days playing and then i started playing in closed groups with friends (and mods) and the rating hasn't moved in a decade.
