Suggestion. Is that possible to implement?

Add loading bars and charge count (smd, nuke) to it while at it.

I don't know, a player can only retrieve the information of their own units. The engine doesn't provide the information of units not owned by the player. In order for this to work, the player would need to become a full-fletched observer. But the consequence of that is losing the ability to chat to their team 🙂

This is all of the top of my head, I'm always happily proven wrong.

@jip aren't there mods that provide similar information to other players.
So all players with that mod could exchange that information?

I don't know - I only use one UI mod. What mod would do this?

@jip Ecomanager auto-share needs both players to have the mod, so i guess it exchanges something
also you can send templates ingame to other players right? (at least there's something about that in the options).
Also Phantom has to exchange info between players or i couldn't make a fixed number of phantoms.

didn't have time to write that before:

I watched some streamer die and observing his allies play and basicly casting the game from that point and knowing stuff like that would have improved the experience

I understand the value, but I'm not sure how we can implement this without allowing other people (read: the enemies) to pick up the information too.

                      @jip

I've seen UI mods share info on friendly SMDs and Nukes with load numbers on that stuff.
IE: teammate has SMD loaded one, twice, or however many times - With this UI mod, I could see that just by highlighting the unit. Can this not be implemented on a slightly larger scale to anyone on your team to see?

                      ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'd need to know what UI mods that are and how they do it before I can answer that 😉

Like vision this kind of information would be only shared to "team member"

Showing the radar range of your team instead of only your own radar would also be quite helpful

@nex this is nearly impossible, afaik even with binpatch it is not reachable

I would imagine adding such a feature would also open up another vector for cheats as well, I.E intercepting the information so you can see your enemies' SMD load count. So I'd keep that in mind too.

That information is already on your client. With Supcom, you can not prevent vision / information cheats, like at all. And im pretty sure this is the case for every deterministic strategy game.
