Really cool mod and well executed, but I think the default settings are borderline impossible to win against, at least with a 2-man team, like we tried. I think those need a bit of tuning, since new players have no idea how an ideal setup would look like.

RE: Looking for feedback on whether people perceive more or fewer connection problems
@mostlostnoob Thanks for the answer! Interesting to know that's how it works. Still, it's a bit odd to put two players who live in the same city in completely different countries for whatever reason. I guess we have different ISPs and that somehow affects the cloudflare connection? To be fair though, this whole "issue" is quite unimportant, it's just a funny visual bug.

RE: Looking for feedback on whether people perceive more or fewer connection problems
I personally find it much, much more stable than pre-DDOS days even, although the occasional disconnect still happens (never to me, always to someone else if it happens, and more than likely it's their fault, not FAF's). The flags are still borked though, for example, the FAF client swears I'm from Austria, even though I live hundreds of kilometers away in Hungary. My friend I often play with is now correctly flagged as being Hungarian (he was also flagged as Austrian for a few days), and we live in the same city, so something weird is going on there.

RE: The first season has started
So can we not see the global rating leaderboards anymore? Or is it planned to be brought back?

Here's the specific error message. Don't know if it's related to develop after all, but might be worth a gander.

RE: Questions about performance
@jip game_15187368.log
Hey, I just played this game and got a memory access violation crash after one of the AI players died. This is the full log which FA gave me afterwards. The only sim mods active were AI-Uveso and AI-RNG. All else is just UI stuff like SSB. -
RE: Biass' Successor - An Introduction
I hope this means fixes for BrewLAN as I believe it doesn't work perfectly with the current version of FAF.

RE: Why would you have left FAF?
@keene I hope they do something about it. Every time I log onto FAF and see all the fucking astro/gap games, I wanna die.
-
RE: Why would you have left FAF?
If I were to leave FAF (not a new player, but still low rated), it would be because of FUCKING GAP. I hate Gap with a passion, but it seems 98% of games for lower rated players will be on Gap. I don't want to play Gap. I don't give a fuck about Gap. Stop hosting Gap, and only Gap. And before you say it, yes, I try hosting for myself, but no one will join, because people only ever play Gap, because it's easy, requires almost no strategy, and is a ridiculously streamlined version of FA.

RE: Your opinion about maps with map-wide assets
I personally really like playing on such maps in custom lobbies, as they can look really cool, but I also think there whould be a different variant for them for matchmaking, without such assets. Essentially the same thing Valve tried to pull with CSGO back in the day, where they had different versions of maps for competitive and casual.

RE: Supreme Computer Cup
Damn, Uveso did much worse than I was expecting to be honest. Props to RNG though!

RE: Nvidia driver performance problem
@Sam-site Thanks, that's exactly what was needed. It's basically the command for hardware cursor I think, which is perfect until nVidia fixes their stuff.
-
RE: Nvidia driver performance problem
It seems to be a problem with the game not using hardware cursor. I had the exact same issue in Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, and the only way I could fix it was turning on the Use Hardware Cursor option.

RE: AI MEGATHREAD
Swarm Eternal is brutal indeed, but my problem with Uveso and Swarm is that you are basically playing a survival game most of the time, they just spam T1 continously.
