Hello. I would like to sign up as a 1293
You're still under Tournament Ban, and this is a tournament. See you for the next u1900 I'm sure!
Edit One: Realised your ban ends before the tournament, but I still am going to decline your application based on our previous stance of your application to play in u1500s.
Ok, although you didnt say this was an official tourney. As I was told the official tourneys shouldnt have separate discords (from faf) linked or used.
Please see the revised tourney rules.I didn't say it was an official tournament, just that your tournament ban applies here, because I run the project.
Although, on that note I feel as though I will need to clarify, due to repeated sign ups on u1500 (which we have told you numerous times you won't be playing here), you are now exempt from tournament participation in u1500 permanently, and if Vindex sees it fit for u1900, then that as well.
This will be the last time we speak on the topic, have fun on other tournaments when you get unbanned, and don't 'throw' like you always do -

The best counter for this to make the experience more 'reliable' is to make friends to queue with. You know how good they are, how they play, and maybe you'll all be empty slots together, or you'll crush together. Stop letting people you perceive as bad ruin a competitive aspect of FAF, because then it's no longer fun.
Fair... If you had friend, that play FaF. I bring like 6 my friends to FaF and sadly they don't stay here in long term. FaF is hard to learn and even harded to master.
The FAF Discord is always full of people wanting to play, try to break into one of the sub communities, or make one of your own.

u1500 1v1 Tournament IV
u1500 1v1 Tournament IV
Date
Tournament will take place on 31st May, 15:00 BST
Format
We will either be playing on Round Robin or Double Elimination as our chosen format, depending on sign ups. (8 or less for Round Robin), look below for explanations and examples:
Round Robin
Round Robin is a tournament format in which each player will fight every other player once. Every win is rewarded with a point. A tie will reward both players with 1/2 point. The two players with the most points will face off in the best of 3 finals round. In case of a tie in point count, players will have to play against players they are tied with. The winner will proceed to the finals.
Double Elimination,
Double Elimination is a tournament format in which the players will start off in the winner's bracket, playing just 1 game. The winning player advances to the next round, the losing player drops into the loser's bracket. If the player loses again, they are eliminated from the tournament. Completely winning the loser's bracket brings you back into the finals of the winner's bracket for a chance at redemption. The player coming from the winner's bracket has to beat their opponent only once. The player coming from the loser's bracket will have to beat their opponent twice.

How many games are played at each stage (assuming playoffs not round robin) - BO1? 3?
It's a BO1 for all games (Upper and Lower Bracket) except for the Grand Finals. There, it will be a "BO3" but the Upper Bracket finalist will have a 1-game advantage. So they will have to only win one game whereas the Lower Bracket finalist will have to win two games to be crowned the winner.
@maudlin27 you should sign up! We'd love to see you compete, even if it's for fun (if you're the appropriate rating of course)

The Aeon 1v1 guide is outdated and barely English.
Hello Kilatamoro, the Aeon 1v1 Guide is in the training archive section due to it being outdated, and we're unsure if Faction based 1v1 guides are entirely the best way to teach the game mode. But who knows what the future holds for the wiki

RE: Open discussion on testing and rollout of the new ice adapter
@TheVVheelboy said in Open discussion on testing and rollout of the new ice adapter:
Drop announcement in the discord with testing date and we should get enough people to stress test it. Hell, hit up @Strydxr or @Razana and we might even get CNN hosted on the new client for even better test.
I also don't think that the bandwidth requirements should matter at all, unless it were to really baloon. We are no longer in copper era of internet, so I would assume everyone would have that 1-2Mb/s of upload available for themselves. And considering how bandwidth intensive FAF is, I really don't think that doubling it will matter at all.
And if available I will also show up for some testing games.
Sounds good, if details are confirmed for this testing please forward them to me so i can get the Trainers ready to discuss a possible test CGN on top of the normal scheduled ones!
