The feature has been rolled out and I've received the first feedback that indicates the problem is solved on Discord, as long as the host of the lobby decides to use the new lobby option. Thanks to those who spent time to try it out - it helps a lot with development.

Sorry but I cannot understand how to get into control of an army of the player who left? Where should I click? Or its key combination? Thanks...

Click on the player's name in the scoreboard. If you're using the supreme score board mod then you'll need the updated version "Supreme Score Board2HC" to shift-click to switch armies.
