If you could change one thing about FAF/Supcom, What would it be and why?

For me I would nurf the billy nuke due to there being no effective counter against it.
Possible fixes in my mind,
- Reduce range to expose ACU a little more and lower damage to not one shot t3 units.
- allow T3 mobile AA to switch fire and target missiles.

Nice attempt, but it is too easy to notice that you made this thread specifically to cry about Billy.

Yeah its unlucky that if you are vs UEF you have no choice but to clump up all your units and never have engies at the front. Unfortunate

I would change t2 stage cybran, beetles and stealth fields need a nerf, and wagner needs up

If I could wave my hand and make one thing magically change it would be to give supcom fa a new and modern game engine with all the potential benefits that entails.
If that answer is violating the spirit of the question, then my second answer would be to either delete the Novax from the game or make it a t3 intel only unit with the corresponding cost changes and then replace it with a “proper” t4 air unit or hell even a new direct fire experimental though an air unit makes more sense. Satellites with weapons are unbalanceable or at least fundamentally “unfun” (for me) in faf and I’ll die on that hill.
Edit: also the Billy nuke isn’t that bad. Perhaps you can make an argument for tweaking it but it does make for some fun interactions

@Exselsior - Sanctuary looks pretty good on the graphics side, if you want an eye candy. But I bet it's years away from a balanced and interesting game.

After game has ended - you go back to lobby, so you can press X again right away and start another game, or change map/settings and start again right away.
So you don't have to rehost, and don't have to monitor to see if hoster has rehosted.Also would be nice to not have connection issues so there could be dozens of people in spectators that enjoy observing and chatting and can also get into queue to take place of someone who does decide to leave the lobby

Lemme explain something for you. there is a counter to "Billy" nuke. Tactical Missile Defense will shoot down the "Billy". Cybran, Seraphim, and UEF are the best counter for it. Aeon tmd cause it to Self-Destruct which in turn cause it to explode. If you are having a hard time with it, you need to learn to build more tmd. 4 shots from tmd will shoot down a billy nuke. -
Also, If I were to change anything in FAF it would be the build time for Nukes and Artillery. Not many people have played the Vanilla versions of SupCom and FA. Nukes took 45 minutes to build while smd took 25 minutes. Mavor took roughly 1 hour to build with a small number of engineers. 1 more thing I would change is the Support Commanders. Prebuilt support commanders is cheap way to get the eco you need early game. Support Commanders used to be 5 minutes build time and Manually upgrade one at a time.

Stable revised versions of FAF and SupCpm FAF, along modifs and Mids, also with stable versions, IMHO could change the things.

In a game I recently played with you, you were bombarded with several shots from billy, you lost all your units and eventualy died to constant use of billy.
you are considered one of the best faf players around and yet you were powerless against the billy.

@Caliber No it is not sarcasm I am being Real with you. If you have problems with the way people play then you shouldn't play multiplayer at all. I don't and when I do its usually survival or something of the sort
