Nelus4 builds a lot of SMLs and they shoot on their own.

SML = Strategic missile launcher = nuke
TML = Tactical missile launcher = t2 stationary missile launcher with 6k dmg per missile
he build TMLs and queued bunch of random orders, there was no autotargetting from what i can see.Screenshot_2018.png

Have watched the replay and can confirm what ZLO said:

The player has queued up random attack orders from the TMLs into the fog and used the distribution-orders-key to "create a barrage"

Expensive and inefficient way to use TML's, but then again it's Astro so not unexpected.

It's an interesting tactic that I might try someday - a tac missile costs about the same mass as a T2 tank, but if you fire them into a resting formation of t2 you can take ~4 T2 out per hit, and vs T3 in staging area might be decisively positive trade. Fairly flexible asset too.

How did he does it? I can spread the missiles only when the missle stock is empty and they are still in production. Othervise the TML's reset their orders, if I give more than 3 targets via distribute orders?

@taxesaretheft You don't need to use distribute orders, you can just queue up normal attack orders.

I thought he spread the damage... but he just fired mass of 2 T3 maxes, mutliple times on one spot.
The idea is so absurd @IndexLibrorum that I didn't get the case.^^ Thx for pointing it out.
