as part of doubles team any time before the registration period ends.Signing up Now as a single will let others now you are a "Free Agent" now and
may be willing to join someone's team if they so desire,
or they may remain in the "singles draft pool" until draft begins. -

Some have suggested having team names for the tourney would be fun
So... If teams prefer... they can sign up with a Team Name.
If no Team Name given before tourney start,
players FAF names will be used in the Challonge Tourney Brackets instead. Therefore,
players signing up as Doubles may also include a Team Name along with the
two players names and ratings. -
Skuzz (1423) signing up.

@edtjuh
Hi edtjuh,
Sorry to inform you that this is an <1,800* rating tournament with
some minor exceptions, described below,
and you have (2) > 1,800 ratings - (Glb =1,900 and 2v2 =1,880)*If.....
You only had the 38 game 2v2 rating of 1,880 rating, AND
you next highest >100 game history rating was "say 1720 global rating"..
We would be able to combine weigh the 2 ratings to get a sub 1800 rating,
and be able to register.Hope to see you in the Rainbow Cup VI Open Rating tourny in February.

New Tournament Rating Calculating method
to determine ratings of players with 1 rating above 1800, where
there is a "small" sample size and
Where the players next highest rating has a greater than 100 game history.
The next highest rating - will "weigh" that rating with a 100 game weight.
That Rating will be combined in proportion with the >1800 small sample rating as
described below:Example:
Use this formula, to find a Tournament Rating:
(>1800 rating x small sample game total) + (Lower rating x 100 game weight) = (Multiplied ratings / combined game total) = New rating.Example of the One time this rule has been used "so far" in this tournament:
Exselsior's new RC tournament rating will be
(Glb) 1714 x 100 games + (4v4) 1874 x 26 games = 220384/126 = 1749 Combined adjusted rating
.Remember >1,800 players....
There is going to be another open Rainbow Cup at end of February where
historically everyone above 1,800 has
been picked to play in the 12 team, 3 man teams.
Hope to see you soon in the next Open! -
Remember the idea is to have as many players be able to participate in this 'fun' tourney as possible.
One small sample size +1,800 rating should not disqualify a person.
Lets have fun and also HELP out the AI Mod Developers.
If you play versus AI from time to time....
now is the chance to help give back a little to the AI teams... by just participating
Thanks -
Can you register Popiska and Plunder in one team pls?
