    Today is a very special day. After more than a decade of waiting, countless memes, and enough "soon" jokes to power a Quantum Gateway, Galactic War is finally returning to Forged Alliance Forever!

    For the uninitiated, Galactic War is a meta MMO game for Forged Alliance, where players join a faction and remain loyal until the Infinite War ends. Each player controls an avatar that gains XP and ranks up through victories, but if their commander dies in battle, the avatar is lost, and they must start over from the lowest rank. Battles are resolved through FAF matches using a custom game mod that allows players to call in reinforcements or flee the battlefield to save themselves when the situation turns dire.

    Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks, but don't hold your breath. The only thing more uncertain than a Cybran loyalty matrix is the FAF dev’s release schedule. But rest assured — Galactic War is coming (soon).

    Oh... and this one... it ain't a joke 😉

    So, it's time to reveal the qualifying tournament information!

    Tournament Format:

    The tournament will take place if there will be at least 6 participants, if there will be less participants, the top 4 by ranking will qualify for the main tournament. The tournament is played on Round Robin system, where everyone plays 1 game with everyone else. The best 4 players will get to the main tournament. In case of a large number of participants of the qualifying tournament (8 and more) the tournament will be divided into 2 groups (by rating) and will be played in 2 rounds. Players who won 1 and 2 places in each group go to the main tournament. No faction veto, maps will be specified for each round 1 day before the tournament. Players will be mixed in the bracket 15 minutes before the start of the tournament Late 15 minutes or more - disqualification. Loss of connection during the first 3 minutes of the game - re-match, disconnect after 3 minutes of the game at the discretion of the tournament director. In case of equality of points in the main tournament the player who won in a personal match goes through, if more than 2 players have equality of points, an additional round-robin of 1 game between them will be played.

    Agreed would be nice for a range boost (so they have at least the same range as the best destroyer range but cruisers and battleships would outrange them), - could always buff the Aeon cruiser range slightly since its a weak attack anyway to compensate/provide Aeon with a T2 counter. That way there'd both be more unit variety and unit counterplay.

    Land combat has T2 PD that outranges T2 tanks, but is outranged by another T2 unit (MMLs), which in turn can be defended against with TMD, and the game feels more interesting with that as an option than if say T2 PD were outranged by T2 tanks. Even with fixed shields being buildable on land to cover T2 PD, and T2 arti being available (that outrange any land unit) firebases aren't oppressive (while for naval maps outside of protecting your naval factory and the occasional pond with a chokepoint, there'd be less value from a 'naval firebase' than on land, so less risk of it being too powerful).

    Another nice sideeffect is it'd provide a potential (defensive) counter option to sera subhunters (who currently outrange torpedo launchers other than HARMs)

    Hello everyone,
    Version 2.0.3 of the Commander Survival Kit will be released soon on Moddb.
    It includes several Fixes related to Air Strikes, which have a few Issues in Version 2.0.2 and are probably broken.

    The Fixes are already included in the Development Version on Github for this Mod.
    So I recommend to download the Mod from Github until Version 2.0.3 is released:
