FA Forever Map Editor support?

0

Hey all,

Does anyone know if people are still working on the FAForever Map Editor? The forum thread is archived at version 0.606, but the software itself was still updated up to version 0.704. Unfortunately, it seems that last version is also fairly old. Is this abandoned?

It seems so. But it's open source so it's not lost (https://github.com/ozonexo3/FAForeverMapEditor/releases)

It is open source in so far as the code being public however there is no license in the repository.

Is that the editor everyone is using to make maps?

Unfortunately, I would have no idea what to do with the source code. My issue is also fairly small, so it's maybe gone unnoticed.

It has to do with the placement of 3x3 buildings like the Strategic Missile Defense and Torpedo Launcher buildings. They look alright in the editor, but are placed wrong in-game.

Oh this is most likely caused by a recent bug fix with 3x3 buildings in templates. I'll alert the proper people

That's absolutely awesome, thank you very much. I honestly didn't expect this to still be supported.

To the extent that the code is available to the public, it is open source; nevertheless, there is no license included in the repository.
