Some feedback on the high rated pool:

      Tumulus - Haven't played it
Amoor - decent map no issue
      Open palms - classic
Valenvaryon - decent map no issue
      Vya -3 - classic macro 10x
Asteria - ok as a one off in the pool, not a normal 1v1 map at all, bo heavy macro map, 1v1 against the map
Bluelands - not good, very bo heavy, high mass navy map, one dimensional
moonshine - haven't played it in probably 8 years, don't remember it being good
      cadmium green - decent map
eye of the storm - classic
Map gen 13x - who knows, probably not good though
adaptive sin - bad, completely non interactive map for a long time, macro map, nothing to do but play against the map not your opponent
crossfire canal - classic but in a pool with lots of other macro maps
gateway and rose - haven't played recently, another bo and macro heavy map

The pool is really unbalanced towards large maps where it barely matters what your opponent is doing. Just macro better or have a better bo, boring.

If you have more 20x maps they also take longer to play so they will probably take up even more of the pool in terms of time played, something to consider.

Just to be clear I think Asteria is a lot better than sin or bluelands.

I made the pool this month. I can honestly see your point that the pool is too macro heavy. I would try to replace one large macro map with an additional 10x10 moderate scaling map in future.

Even as someone who likes to play only 20x20 maps i think this is too much for a pool. There are 5 20x20 and only 6 10x10 maps (ignoring mapgen cause its in between them).

Not only that, but 3/5 20x20 maps (asteria, bluelands, sin) are non standard maps as in either they're new and haven't been played in 1v1 before (bluelands) or they're maps that were clearly not designed for 1v1 (asteria/sin). Meanwhile the 10x10 pool just has classic/standard maps with no outliers.

Wouldn't call this a bo/macro heavy map tbh (not for a 20x20 that is).

Valenvaryon hadnt been in the pool since 2019, so its an outlier as well. Ill ask the team to replace Sin with a human 10x10 since im seeing a consensus.

@waffelzNoob When veto drops it will be back. The pool will probably have lots of maps that you can veto down.

It would be great if you guys would somehow mark the ones in the pool that are going to stay for longer than the current month. this would help with the decision which maps need more attention in training sessions. Something like a specific background color or an asterisk in the pool thread and/or the pool visible on the client.
