At this moment only two and a half naval units have to use surfacing button.
Even t1 subs are very fast and agile. Destroyers are not capable of chasing them down.
We should think and discuss about it.

this sounds like a balance suggestion, which means it doesnt belong here.
pls put it in the balanceforum, in a form that meets the balanceforum suggestion/posting standards (at least somewhat remotely close), instead of posting it somewhere else (where it doesnt belong).

For sth like this you should e.g. outline where (e.g. what map, factions) being unable to chase down subs with destros negatively affects balance/gameplay and how changing it would actually improve overall balance/gameplay (good luck with that, considering how nieche role subs are already)

Well if you want a real life answer a WW2 sub is faster surfaced, while a modern day sub is faster submerged

You are wrong. This is not about balance at all. This is about dead gameplay feature we can improve.

He's not wrong, any change to the speed of any unit in the game in any way is a balance change regardless of if you think that's the case.
