Awassa Kamikaze as intended?
-
Is the intention of the seraphim t4 bomber to be Kamikaze as soon as bomb is dropped?
IF it is not, consider what Open Red Alert(another run community RTS) devs did with the YAK attack plane. When ever it was "suicide-d" in mid air, there would be a random 'jerk' introduced into the flight path of the plane. This meant it was no longer following a straight trajectory, but in about a 45 degree spread, would go anywhere but exactly straight.
2 games recently:
-
Player made (2) donuts, and by sheer patience, audacity & skill managed to get them to enemy game ender(s) but, because the shield absorbed the damage that incredible accomplishment was ineffective.
-
Player made (2) Awassas' and by sheer 2-clicks got them to sail through and kill game ender with bomb they dropped in their death throes.
I can confirm it 'sucks to suck' but just seems tragic 2-clicks is rewarded, patience & audacity are not so much.

It is infinitely better to keep the bomber alive, one bomb is 11000 damage, crash damage is 8000.
to purposefully kill the bomber after spending Energy = 1920000, Mass = 48000, and do only 8000 damage is so wastful.

If you know that you can only do one drop of a bomb then it is lot better to kill enemy commander or game ender or antinuke or something valuable and get closer to winning the game rather than waiting for another ahwassa or extra strat bombers.
this whole topic is raised exactly because people do purposefully kill bomber and that turns out to be so effective that people start to complain and suggest nerfs for it
instead of damaging shield and depositing mass it actually kills stuff
I also wanna add that it works for every bomber as far as i know
you can just insta-ctrl+k it just as the bomb has dropped and wreck will land almost in the same place as where bomb was aimed.making ahwassa randomly change direction 45 degrees after it died will probably look weird.
unless maybe you add some visual effects like violent explosion that would make it look like it pushes that dead ahwassa around xDEdit: We also have similar balance changes made before.
When satelite dies it gets pushed in random direction, so people can't drop it on nukes that just emerge from the nuke silo and blowing up that enemy nuke together with enemy base -
I havent seen this issue since both crash dmg and ahwassas themselves were nerfed, so for like 2 years.

You had 1 t3 sera shield barely covering your scathis and it seemed like it was already damaged. You got dropped 2 ahwassas dealing 8k crash + 1.1k initial bomb damage = 18.2k dmg. Then there's 9900x2=19800 remaining delayed damage on the bombs.
Didn't watch czar replay.
I think you're more complaining that ahwassa has too high alpha strike than anything related to suiciding them. If you ever talked about bombing and then ctrl k for the wreck to fly under a shield and kill it to let the bomb deal 9900 dmg that would be about the crash damage.
For mitigating crash damage: shields absorb crash damage up to 20% of their max hp (ahwassa 8k -> 3800 when going through sera t3 shield, shield bar takes 4200 dmg), and you can spam shields around your target to reduce the chance of the remaining crash damage's splash reaching your target.
The reason ahwassa can have the high alpha strike is because it's bad against shield spam since it has a long reload and you need to micro well to fire on time with that reload. It's also a bomber and the most expensive air t4 but also lowest hp. So you should spam T3 shields in a line parallel to the bombing path to stop ahwassas easily.
