Since updating to the latest FAF Client, when hosting a game, OpenJDK will consume over 30% of the CPU, causing my fans to run at full speed. Killing the process will cause me to lose connection with everyone in the game.

I'm using JDK 21.0.1, if that could be related to the issue.

This is a problem unrelated to the latest version - it just doesn't show to everyone every game. We're investigating it as we speak.

New update out that should fix it, please report if still experiencing it.

I'd seen other people post about it, but had never had it occur myself, until I updated to the latest FAF Client. Then it started happening, so as the only thing I changed was updating the FAF Client, I thought they might be related.

I did find restating my computer did delay the issue. Usually, it would begin immediately upon launching a game. After a fresh restart, it started about 5 minutes after launching a game.

Have hosted a few games with 2024.6.1, and looks like the issue has been cleared up.
