Billy nuke doesn't always fire on command?

Sometimes when clicking to launch the billy nuke it doesn't fire. This may be when the ACU is building.

What I expect:

  • launch the nuke
  • continue other activity (move, build, etc.)

What seems to happen:

  • stops other order
  • does not always launch

If you have an active order. When firing billy you need to talk a couple of steps then fire. Not sure why.

Been like it for ages.

Remember that the Billy nuke also has a cooldown timer, you can't rapid fire them even with infinite BP/Mass IIRC

This is exactly how the billy behaves, yes, if the ACU is building something, the billy won't fire. The ACU only stops its current activity, and you'll have to give the launch order a second time.

I never gave it any thought of it being a problem (and after thinking about it for a few moments I think it's still not a problem). I never checked if it's the same behavior with the normal TML, in which case both the Sera and UEF ACU would have to deal with it.

The ACU is considered 'busy' when building. This prevents its weapon from trying to fire while building. This also prevents the missile weapon. The first order causes the unit to stop building, unflagging the unit as 'busy'. The second order then launches the missile.

Not ideal, something we can look into. But I'm not sure if we can fix it reliably
