@Jip #17350210 in this replay near the end my ilshavoh shot opponent's acu despite the fact that other units were present in range. Do we really want to keep this behavior?

I think it happened with recent changes to targeting system. Now, as far as i know, units will lock on whatever unit entered their weapon's range (even acu) no matter what. After that (target is destroyed or out of range) their target behavior is normal. As shown in this replay (#17336961) it is quite important for early raiding and maybe will affect ACU on ACU fights.
- Tank raiding engi near mex. Mex enters tank's range first and now thaam will focus this mex until it dies or no longer in range. Direct attack or retargeting hotkeys works to change target from mex to engie tho.
- Same story but with ACU. If ACU is exposed like this then it will be targeted until dead or exit range of unit.
Is it known behavior? Could we fix it?
I think its known behavior and not really considered a bug. For example you could target transport with inties and they will follow even through fog of war. Same story with literally every unit in the game. If you issued attack command to unit then your units will attack it no matter what.
Also iirc depth charges give underwater vision. At least for aeon torpbomber (and could we please change translation of "depth charges" in russian ui from "смертельный разряд" to something more meaningful like "глубинные бомбы" or something? Its really stupid.)
I love badlands because its super chill eco map. You can just up t2 mex and spam units. Same story with vya-3 but its even more autistic, can just spam engies from 6 facs all game and up mexes.
Also i like this orange map with z shaped land pass, 2 ponds of water on sides, drop plateus and many rocks all around the place. And something like loki or regor highlands is also cool.
