Another thing that I noticed is that the sorting is often not applied anymore. There I also have to uncheck and re-check any of the filters, or switch between sorting modes so that the correct sorting is applied.
I always have the "Hide private games" and "Hide modded games" filters active. However, since one of the last FAF client updates when I boot up the client and go to the "Play" tab, no games show up at all, even though there are some:
I have to go into the filter menu and deselect and then reselect any of the filters in order for the list to show up.
Also having the same issue as @Elmi
I always just quickly hover over the top menu buttons (no click needed). That also fixes it.
Ah, well if this is not a general issue, then I'll try to disable some of my UI mods just in case they interfere with this.
In any case here is one of the recent logs:
Since one of the last patches, the fancy mass/kills etc. over time graphs do not show up anymore when a game ends (after hitting the "Score" button). I only see the default tables. Is that a known issue?
Yes, thank you. For some reason I thought it was not working, but it is working after all
@nex said in Cannot give resources?:
You can give resources via the scoreboard.
How though? I am still confused about this. I also see player rapidly sharing ressources continuously - is that some kind of special command?
I had a Virgin Media technician come to my home and I showed him the issues. We even confirmed that it must be related to the Virgin Media internet connection by showing that everything was fine when using a WiFi hotspot via mobile (I was able to reproduce the issue elsewhere too). He changed my Hub to the new Hub 5 instead of the previous Hub 4 and improved my coax connection signal generally, but that did not fix it. He escalated it then to the next level.
Today they seem to have finally resolved it. @HavikAdama how about you?
Oh no, looks like this is some sort of weird issue with my ISP (Virgin Media in the UK). If I use a VPN all these problems vanish (and immediately come back again if I don't use the VPN). I also noticed other issues during my regular work today as suddenly certain SSH connections would get a connection timeout as well.
Is it may be possible to display the currently available range of an individual Mercy via LUA scripting? That would already help.
Since yesterday afternoon (UTC) or so I am having issues with the FAF client. Sometimes it times out just when trying to log in
;just now I got a message saying
for example; when trying to join a game it often takes tens of seconds before the game actually launches (and even then connection facilitation might not work) - or it might time out once again with
(looks like an error message translation is missing within the FAF client).
Are there any known issues on FAF's side? I asked around in-game yesterday and there were others confirming these issues (but I could not find anything on Discord or here in the forum).
I see, thank you :). And I agree, it's just annoying and not critical.
I've mentioned this already to @Jip on Discord, though since any Discord discussion is fleeting I thought I'd mention it here instead. Basically almost every time (like 9 out of 10 games) I exit the game, the game does not properly exit. I see the cursor and a black screen and I have to Alt+Tab out of the game, since there is an "Unhandled Exception" window in the background:

(I removed the game stats JSON from the exception)
Everything is normal otherwise I think. The game's result is properly transmitted as far as I can tell for instance.
Any pointers to what could be going wrong here?
@blackyps said in Advanced Grouping Mod:
That is certainly easier than troubleshooting your old mod
idk, as a developer I wouldn't mind devling into LUA scripting for FA and see what would need to be changed. Seems actually more sensible than trying to remove functionality from an existing mod.
Thank you :). Though I would still prefer to only use the AdvancedGrouping
mod as I don't want to clutter FAF with things that I don't really need.
Oh cool, thank you! Is there any documentation about its features? Looking at its LUA files it seems to come with a lot
Back in the day (like.. 10 years ago) before my FA hiatus I used to use the "Advanced Grouping" UI mod (among others). This mod allows you to split a selected group of units into evenly separated sub-groups. So if you have 9 units selected and you press Ctrl+Alt+3 then Alt+1, Alt+2 and Alt+3 will select 3 different units respectively. Quite a useful addition when dealing with larger armies.
However, unfortunately the mod does not work with FAF. If I install my backup copy that I still have manually in C:\ProgramData\FAForever\user\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\mods
and launch a game with it enabled, the game only renders the first frame after zooming in to the ACU at launch and then renders no updates anymore. I can still hear everything and can still interact with everything - I just don't see anything.
I was wondering if anyone has a version that still works with FAF? Or may be some one can help me figure out what needs to be changed?
I can provide the current version and upload it here, I hope the original author would not mind (Goom).
Exactly the same issue here too (also ~30min). I'll try running the game once in dev.
